Villa Juliana

The villa is very quiet and peaceful. The staff are amazing and friendly. It was my partner's birthday and they surprised him by presenting a birthday cake while the whole group of staff sing and dance for his birthday. The room is big and nicely decorated with a huge comfortable bed. No air-con but it wasn’t too hot when we were there in early June. There is a ‘nap’ bed outside the room you can nap while hearing the sound of the ocean. The pool and sunbed area are amazing to chill while overlooking the beach.

We ordered lunch at the hotel kitchen and the food was quite bad. Grilled octopus turned out to be boiled octopus with mash potato without any sauce. It was so chewy that we didn’t finish it. The massage lady was on her phone for one hour massage.

Clean and beautiful beach section, spacious room(s) and friendly host and stuff. Expensive furniture (awesome bed and mattress) and local details in high quality like bread basket, what is not common in Zanzibar nowadays :) I wish we could stay longer...

The location is stunning, and the beach looks incredibly beautiful when the ocean isn’t receding due to the “tidal” changes. We were a group of four, and we rented a car, choosing this accommodation so we could explore the beaches in this area before heading to the well-known Kendwa/Nungwi region. The accommodation was exactly to our liking, very cozy, with a gorgeous garden and breathtaking views. They have a type of window in the bedrooms that closes at night, yet you can still hear the ocean through the cracks, and the feeling is amazing. The breakfast was more than sufficient and extremely tasty. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful when needed. There were times when we had dinner at the hotel, and the food was unbelievably delicious. The quality-to-price ratio was more than perfect. Thank you for the feelings felt and for the care taken during the holiday!

We liked the beachfront, the food, the staff, and the pool.

The villa did not have glass at windows so it was a little bit noisy.
