Hotel Residencial Edzná

If you are seeking a comfortable, quiet space to relax, then this is the hostel for you. Super basic yes, but it has a lovely character. The rooftop is cool to hang out and meet other guests. Very clean dorm room with good ventilation and stand fans to keep you chill during the day and evening. Like other people have reccomended, if you are sensitive to stand fans with noise, it would be an advantage to bring along some good quality earplugs to aid your comfort. Along with toilet and shower room, the dormitory gets cleaned everyday. Staff are attentive and very friendly to your needs. The location is perfect to reach centro, local shops, bars and restaurants. There is no kitchen or water drinking facilities. So, if you are looking for a comfortable bed to relax and spend a few nights. This place will suit your needs. As a side note if you are curious to visit Campeche, definitely go. It has a certain San Cristobal, Chiapas feel to it with similar streets and architecture. Fell absolutely in love with Campeche when I stayed over. The local people are very friendly and approachable compared to other surrounding states in that corner. Campeche with all its charm restored my genuine love for Mexico!.

It’s cheap but be prepared to see why it’s cheap everywhere. The place is very basic and shabby. But it also felt not cleaned in the bathroom, the towel I got didn’t look properly washed. The uppper beds have no things on the sides and the ladder is being moved between beds so not too convenient if you’re sleeping on top. It was fine for one night but I would not choose to stay there again.

The lady in the morning was just plain rude. The rest of the staff was nice so maybe she just had a bad day but it is to bad to leave on a sad note 😌

I enjoyed my stay. Good location, friendly staff. The dorm was spacious and had plenty of fans which helped, as campeche is hot! The receptionist lady stood outside and hailed a cab for me, which was super nice of her, as it was a holiday and I was dubious about getting one. Good places to eat on that street. I'd definitely recommend!

Their lovely patio could use more comfortable furniture, but that's a minor thing.

There was no kitchen and beds had no curtains, I e. No privacy.
