The Royal Oak Inn

The food was delicious and we were made very welcome. The room was basic, clean and comfortable with attention to detail. We really enjoyed our stay. We recommend the Royal Oak.

The royal oak is an ok place the rooms clean and comfortable owners nice, shame the pub side of things doesn't open Mondays and closes early ( around 830 ) in evenings. It is in the middle of nowhere so expect to travel for enjoyment food delivery non existent on just eat etc Uber eats delivers but at high cost all in all good

There was free parking as requested. The bed was comfortable enough and the shower, once we worked it out was warm.

Dunsford was much further out of Exeter than I was led to expect and its access roads can be very narrow (one lane at best). The hotel is very run down. Considering what we paid at several places we have stayed in in the UK in the last month, this was not value for money. It was such a small town there was nowhere in the town for dinner. The Royal Oak had contacted us asking if we wanted dinner there but did not explain that there was nothing else in town. We didn't take them up on the offer due to thinking there would be something else close.
