Hotel Cañada Internacional

The location if you travel by bus or coach was brilliant being opposite the ADO/Collectivo terminal. $25 each way for a Collectivo to the Palenque ruins. Pool was good and a welcome cool off after a hot humid day at the ruins. The room was a good size and the beds comfortable.

We are getting on in years and had 40 steps to negotiate to our room (10 blocks of 4). There are no bell boys or any staff to help carry one's luggage. and currently no lift. Aircon control in the room did not work as regards controlling temperature or fan speed so pretty useless.

Spacious room. Great beds with cotton sheets and hard mattresses. Nice shower as well! We only stayed one night, was great for that!

Extensive use of chemical cleaning materials. That seems the be the case in most Mexican places..

Staff friendliness ready to assist, staff did provide coffee or tea in the morning, but no restaurant on facilities but plenty of restaurants nearby and ADO bus station just across street! Maya train station is also nearby!

Location was close walk to ADO station and many great restaurants. They provided bottled water and had a large jar to refill from. The AC was nice and cold.

Beds could use an upgrade and there is some renovation work being done on the central core of the building, so there was noise during the day.

The room and the bathroom was full of mosquitos. The walls were dirty, full of killed mosquito. The bed was dirty. The pool was dirty, cannot swim on it.

The staff are lovely but really not weary about noise. You’ll be forced to wake up early with them as they talk loudly early in the mornings, and have the leaf blower on first thing. I’d recommend avoiding the ground floor to avoid!
