Villa Atulya at Ocean's edge

The villa itself is very authentic and pleasant. The view is incredible. Breakfast was fine.

Cleaning during our stay wasn’t done, dinner was not well cooked, dirty plates stayed in the common areas till morning after guests had their dinners.

Big bedrooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff

Laid back attitude of staff, difficult to get them when you needed them, one bathroom looked a bit grotty

Wifi was slow

Simple elegance fronting a rocky beach. Peaceful and clean property. Breakfast and dinner were great. 5-star quality and presentation. Reasonable cost. And of course the staff. Courteous, friendly and professional. Would highly recommend this hotel. We'll be back

Villa is lovely, has the vibe of a typical Sri Lankan home. Location is perfect, nice and quiet and overlooking the beach. Staff were always available to help with anything you asked them for.

Internet worked for the most part but did cut out a few times and we would have to switch between connecting to one of 4 different routers depending on which one was available. A storm caused a power cut while we were there. It only lasted a few seconds but they had issues with getting the power back for our side of the villa after that.

We liked their hospitality and food. Overall the property was good and spacious. We felt a heritage sense. A clean pool to relax.

No easy access to the beach.

Located on a quiet ocean front area, the resort is wide and plenty of space and not compact like other resorts in the busier area and it got a nice pool too. Bathroom is quite huge, i wish a bit of space was allocated for a seating area. Breakfast could be improved but its ok.

Its a bit far off from beaches for swimming which we knew already but for a week stay, we spent quite a lot of money for taking tuk tuk everytime. The room doesn't have a comfortable seating area to read and with the humidity outside it could have been nice just to stay in the room to cool off. Communication with staffs is a bit difficult at times.
