Das Hotel wirkt insgesamt sehr alt und ungepflegt. Besonders negativ aufgefallen ist das Badezimmer: Es war nicht sauber und es gab keinen WC-Papierhalter, was den Aufenthalt deutlich unkomfortabler machte. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich jedoch das Personal, das stets freundlich und hilfsbereit war.

The location is very misleading: it is not in Dambulla as shown on Booking, but about 20 minutes further away, in the middle of nowhere Wi-Fi does not work at all at the Pool or room. The lake and photos shown do not match reality. The water is brown instead of blue/green. This might be due to recent floods, so I don’t want to judge too harshly, but the property overall does not seem well maintained and seems a little dirty and neglected. Hungry stray dogs within the facility. Not sure if they get fed enough. 🥲 Breakfast options were quite limited. No water, no fresh juice (only Sirup), no yoghurt oder western options. It was okay, but again not worthy of a 5-star hotel. I feel sorry to write such a bad review, but we chose this hotel based on the advertised 5-star rating and the photos on Booking, and unfortunately the experience did not meet those expectations. Many small issues added up and made the stay disappointing overall.

Calm Environment. Spacious Pool

Cleanliness Issue : There're so many spider webs in washrooms. Rooms : There were some insects on the bed. But comfy setup inside and very spacious Restaurant : Very basic. Had avaerage range of buffet selection worth for money. Staff very rude. Staff : Reception & Housekeeping staff was very helpful. But the restaurant staff is very arrogantly doing their job. No refilling.

At first look, everything is fine. Nice surrounding areas, the villas have a nice aesthetic. People are pleasant, but definitely not 4 or even 5 star worthy

I wouldn't spend more than a night here. Their bathroom aesthetic is weird as he'll and just creates a damp atmosphere. The rooms SMELL! Stray dogs are constantly outside of your rooms camping out, the lake does not look clean. The people that work there are constantly looking to charge you for random things. Not worth the money for a advertised 4-5star hotel.

Fijne service en een fantastische plek. We hebben ook heerlijk gegeten! Goed personeel en een fijn huisje waar we verbleven. Mooi aan het water.

Sehr großzügige, schöne Anlage in der Natur. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen hat uns geschmeckt.

Der große Glasgiebel kann bei Nacht nicht verdunkelt werden, dadurch wird es morgens innen sehr früh hell. Ein Großteil der Mitarbeiter im Restaurant versteht und spricht schlecht englisch, wodurch es zu Verwechslung der Bestellungen kam. Der See ist in Wirklichkeit nicht blau wie auf den Bildern, sondern braun. Uns hat es nicht gestört, die Bilder sollten jedoch die Wirklichkeit zeigen.

De l’extérieur le cadre est beau.

C’est scandaleux, j’ai trouvé une sourie dans la chambre en plus des moisissures sur les murs, et le gérant ne voulait pas m’annuler la deuxième nuit sous prétexte qu’ils n’ont pas le droit de rembourser les clients. Le Petit déjeuner n’est pas bon du tout.
