Comfortable beds, quiet room, despite central location. Clean facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We were given a room on the 4th floor, and dragging all our luggage upstairs without an elevator was a bit hard

Very nice guys nice pool, big fammily room, nice location, 2nd row from the sea, which means there is no beach club. That means no sun beds under umbrellas like the hotels in the front row. We ended up staying more days than planned, there were no cruise ships in the middle of July. A lot of animals (cat,frog,turtles…)

Hotel is basic, 1 towels per family.

A bit neglected but not bad if you’re bringing a furry friend. Please don’t get me wrong, the neglect is everywhere we traveled through from Yucatán to Quintana Roo. We were out alittle over a year and a half ago. Everything was clean and fresh everywhere. Maybe slow season or something.

This is our second stay at the Matan Kaan. We love this hotel as far as location and the architecture of the hotel. It's well thought out, with public spaces to sit by the pool, browse a book in the outdoor reading area, eat in breakfast area, or sit outside in a rustic corner. A turtle water feature adds to the delightful outdoor touches. And the pool is large enough that several guests can use it at the same time. The beds were comfortable and the shower water was hot. The air conditioner worked perfectly and cooled the room nicely.

Our room could have used a bit of prior maintenance. The toilet seat was loose and the bathroom window screen was broken from its frame. Not all the rooms have window screens, so we changed rooms at the outset of our stay so we would have a screened window. This would not be an issue for someone who intends to just keep the air conditioner on and all the windows closed,, but we are accustomed to living in warm places and we like to turn off the air conditioner and open the windows for part of the day to bring fresh air in, even if it is warm.

The location was great, the place was very clean and staff were nice. The pool was nice and also clean .

The rooftop was very disappointing. The plunge pool was dirty and unusable and there were no loungers or comfortable seating. The bar shown in pictures was none existent.

The location was good, maybe 50 meters from the beach. The room is average, good A/C and big bed. Quiet neighborhood.

The facilities, the pool good, but that's it. The biggest problem is don't have a fridge, this is unbelievable for all year 30-32 Celsius and 80% humidity and the bottle water machine don't have fridge too, only warm water. If I buy any beer, water etc. must drink it maximum half an hour because after that like a horse pee. The other problem is don't have a safe in the room, I couldn't closed my values, my money, my passport and everything. This two problem is insane I think and this could be fixed only 200-300USD per room.
