Ambedo Hotel Phu Quoc

The owner and staff were really lovely. They helped us with everything we wanted. The owner gave us treats of local food and fruit as we lazed by the pool. Pool was lovely and they kept it clean and tidy. The room was very large, gardens impeccable a real oasis from the street. Pool is warm with lots of sun beds and shade with fans if needed. Location was great for us out of the main tourist area but with lots of local restaurants on the beach. There are 4 or five hotel side of the big pier and at least 8 the other side of the pier. They setup from almost nothing at 4pm, and the access is through some narrow alleyways. Amazing local market right on your doorstep. You can walk to the night market and port where there is a lovely cafe (buddy’s)…..will definitely be back

Nothing. But would sale the local beach is more of a fishing boat beach but the locals swim there. Also it’s easy to get a grab and find a nice beach locally

Our second stay at the Ambedo Hotel and we will be back again. Can't beat this boutique hotel for the value and service provided. A clean quite oasis in the middle of a bustling market area. We rented scooters and explored the Island by day and returned to the pool to relax each afternoon.

Our host was absolutely beautiful! We were able to rent scooters directly from the property. The pool was nice. Rooms were nice and clean, very quiet at night with good air conditioning.

While it was nice being in a quiet part of town there isn’t much happening within walking distance. This wasn’t an issue for us as we had the scooter and only a short ride from night markets and long beach

The owners were lovely. As others have said although street is like little Hanoi - very Vietnamese, which we love - once inside hotel courtyard, you are in a little oasis. Great supermarket opposite and walk down to the beach -2 min, quiet little local beach. Sunset at Chomchom. Cheap cold draft lager and good food choice. Otherwise all other food in area local Vietnam

This place is like an oasis in the busy neighborhood of Phu Quoc. We really enjoyed seeing the bustling city right outside our place when we walked to the beach bars and restaurants for sunset and dinner. The pool here is very nice and the pool chairs are very comfy. Bathroom is well appointed with good showerheads and hot water. There is a kitchen that guests can use next to the pool if that's more your speed. Great value.

They not only agreed to extend our booking but also upgraded our room without charging us anything. First stayed there for 5 days and we liked the place so much that we return after 3 days and stayed again for that many days. It's a very pleasant family run place. They even invited us and other guests to Tet feast with the family. They have been super kind with our kid. Renting reliable bike from them was super easy as well. Whenever i return to phu quoc, I will return to Ambedo.

Staff are very cooperative. Good supermarket opposite the hotel. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool.

The location is away from the usual tourist areas. There are a few seaside restaurants within walking distance, but to go to other decent restaurants, one will need to take a taxi. We had to go to the main town for most meals and other entertainment options. Getting a taxi can be an issue as several Grab drivers cancel bookings. The closet for clothes was inside the bathroom, which was a bit odd.
