HOTEL WOOD TAKAYAMA

Had an amazing stay with Hotel Wood- location, amenities, staff were perfect. Location- just next to a Family mart, great for supper runs and just 2mins walk to the old street of Takayama where all the interesting stuff is. Amenities- rooms were spotless, and all amenities that we needed were provided in the room, making our stay super comfortable. Onsen was excellent as well, they even provided ice popsicles after, such a plus! Free flow sake from the famous breweries in Takayama sealed the deal- sip freely from the different breweries at a go, and is such a good base for comparison and figuring out which kind of sake you like. Total recommend for new sake drinkers. Staff- we were initially unable to book the double room, and resorted to booking 2 single rooms. The hotel staff were kind enough to take note and notified us when rooms became available! Check in and out were really smooth and everyone from front desk staff to bar staff were helpful and welcoming.

Do note the car park is located off-site, but there's some lots outside the hotel to park and unload luggages. They provide transfers to and fro the car park so there wasn't much trouble- just factor for some time.

La ubicación del hotel en pleno corazón de las calles tradicionales comerciales es un plus. La habitación era preciosa, el personal del hotel muy amable. Estupenda la zona de comedor común con cata de sake, juegos de mesa, etc. Los baños también fenomenal. 100% recomendable

Close to the old town; traditional stylish Japanese room in reasonable rates; no communication difficulties compared to other Japanese hotel (as they have a lot of western tourists); public bath; free drink bar

There is a step inside the room. Be careful when you just wake up (between the bed and bathroom)

位置十分便利，隔壁街道就是老街，入住後方便逛街，清晨也可以在附近愜意漫步老街區，飯店旁有便利超商，雖然離高山車站走路要15分鐘，飯店對面即是計程車招呼站交通非常便利.

空調吹送方向不理想，房間冷卻效果較慢！

Beautiful interiors, and location was so close to food and entertainment. The room was so spacious and very comfy beds!

Lovely staff, great location and room perfect for 3 adults travelling together. The generous free drinks from 5 till 11 created a great vibe in the downstairs communal area. The free ice cream when you finished a relaxing spa was also such a great idea.
