Bungalow By The Beach

If you are looking for peace and quiet with the sound of the ocean this is the place to be. Nice clean room ,friendly and helpful staff. Pasindu is awesome and so attentive. Had a beautiful restful 3 days.

A bit far from main road and everything but if you are looking for relaxation and getting away. Perfect!!!

Fläckiga handdukar, generellt ofräscht och ostädat, mängder med myror i badrummet och allmäna utrymmen på hotellet, väldigt svagt tryck i duschen och inget varmvatten, låg väldigt off, det stod att det var ljudisolerade väggar men det var svårt att sova med havets brus. Priset och bilderna gjorde att jag hade högre förväntningar. Rekommenderar inte att åka hit.

Beautiful location. Airy open dining with sea views. Ocean on one side, lagoon on the other. Attentive and accommodating staff. Great food.

Beautiful hotel, located right at the beach. It has only 4 rooms so really small, but that gives it a more personal and cozy vibe. The staff is exceptional! They will do everything to make you feel welcome. The pool is really nice. The beach was almost empty which was amazing! Truely a paradise. I would definitely recommend it!

The bathroom could be a little cleaner.

The host and the staff are super nice, courteous and very helpful. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The sea and the beach are beautiful.It is very quiet and more suitable for couples or people seeking peace and quiet. There is nothing to complain about. My rating is not bought.

I'll start with the positive. As in almost all of Sri Lanka, the staff was nice. They welcomed us with a great welcome drink and generally tried their best (even though they didn't speak English, which was sometimes a problem). The room was quite spacious, there was a garden with a pool and sun loungers with umbrellas. It was only a few steps to the beach without people.

One thing to keep in mind - all the pictures of accommodation in Sri Lanka are much nicer than what the accommodation looks like in reality. We stayed in 8 hotels and this was true for every one of them. We were given a room on the ground floor. The humidity caused the wood in the windows and doors to warp - the doors were difficult to open and close, and the bathroom window could not be closed at all. (This was not just a problem in our room.) This meant that all the insects in the area crawled into the bathroom. At night, we were surprised by several giant, disgusting cockroaches, as well as spiders, ants (the shower was full of them) and lizards. We tried to block the window with something, but it only helped partially. There were water insects in the pool, which was also unpleasant. (I don't mean dead insects, but live water insects that lived in the pool.) And the last big problem was the air conditioning, which didn't really cool the room. It was only functional at 50%. Even in combination with the fan on, we never completely cooled the room down like in other accommodations.

Right on an absolutely stunning clean beach with waves, where we had a lot of fun. I would like to commend the staff, really nice and helpful people who try to help with everything and do their best to accommodate. The pool is warmer but clean. There is a great restaurant nearby where you can arrange a tour or transportation. But at the accommodation they will prepare whatever you see for your meal.

Maybe we are oversensitive but there were a lot of ants in the bathroom and we killed two cockroaches. the second room had no fridge and the tv didn't work. but those are minor things that didn't stop us from coming here.

Located directly at the beach and perfect for a few days just to relax. Very delicious food (we would recommend the local breakfast and curry for dinner). All staff members were very friendly and helpful.
