Great location right on a magnificent beach. Quiet, great staff, nice food.

Definitely one of my favorite stays in all of Sri Lanka. The location is everything and the staff is so kind and careing. I stayed for two nights to enjoy a birdwatching tour on Kalamitya Bird Sanctuary and when I got back I got an amazing breakfast. Furthermore the swimming pool area is fabulous with excellent sunbeds and service around. The view is stunning. The hotel itself, unusual to most places in Sri Lanka, is very well decorated. That will include some interesting historical pictures hanging on the wall, gorgeous wooden colors and very well designed bathrooms. I would definitely advice this place to anybody visiting this part of Sri Lanka. I read something about stray dogs. If you're not into stray dogs probably you shouldn't visit Sri Lanka at all. They were harmless and cute at least at this place and no more then three

We stayed 2 nights in the hotel. The hotel was clean and tidy and the room was large with a beautiful view. The staff is very nice and they really try to fulfill all wishes. We used a laundry service that they didn't want to charge us for. Thank you for that. We recommend this place.

Everything was so fabulous and we were delighted by the service of the staff, super delicious food in huge portions and the heavenly comfort. Had a fantastic stay!

The rooms were not cleaned before our arrival, dust on the corners of the room , i had to asl for a wet towel to clean it up - which the care taker willfully attended to. The sink bowl in the bathroom had yellow stains and the washroom mirror had stains from previous uses. I was too tired to complain and just wanted the floor mopped and the dust cleaned up. I ended up using a towel in the room to do it myself. We may have exeperienced this due to us being the only occupants and also due to off season in the area. Regardless it was not worth the money paid per night Rs 22000. Smelt great when we entered the room, clean sheets and bed well made. But the room and bathrooms were not clean.

The photos are true - this is a gem of a property right on the coast with the ever-present sound of the waves. With only 4 rooms you can believe you are in your private villa: a big thank you to Sajana & all the staff for looking after us! The views from the bedrooms are spectacular and Mahesh does an excellent job with the cleaning. The beds are comfortable, the towels very good for Sri Lanka ! And the bathroom fittings are good quality. The Sri Lankan breakfast is excellent- try the porridge ! (Which is more like a soup). Krisha was so willing to do whatever we needed, including cooking some fresh fish which was my husband’s reward for hauling the nets with the local fishing families just up the beach (about 7/7.30 am). The kottu is also excellent! They have a water-cooler which is excellent & readily available for cold or hot water - very sustainable, thank you. The 6am visit to the bird sanctuary very nearby was lovely and the guide amazing at spotting so many varieties. The staff can help you book this. Oh, and the infinity pool is to die for !

The access road is a dusty track but not unusual. It is remote from activities/shops but there are a couple of restaurants nearby . Western food options were a little hit & miss - often things were cold. (I don’t think there is the same focus on hot food generally in Sri Lanka .) The air con struggles a bit but was fine - not helped by the bathroom not being air- conditioned and exposed to the external heat. It gets very warm! We sometimes struggled to communicate in English but we are in Sri Lanka & there’s always Google!
