Bungalow By The Beach

A boutique accommodation, perfectly situated on an isolated beach. The atmosphere is on point, the staff are amazing, not only lovely and engaging but also very thoughtful, the entire house is beautifully decorated, the sound of the waves a constant lull in the background. The pictures of this place almost don't do it justice, as it's a great little slice of paradise and we hope to go back soon. Thank you BBTB team!

We wish we could have stayed longer

What a gem of a place. Unbeatable views from the room, quiet, peaceful and fully relaxing. Staff is really helpful and friendly. Chef cooked up some serious dishes that were really delicious and of course - they make pizza! Room is so cozy, both the bathroom and the room had perfect natural lightning. Bed is comfy and big. If you are looking for a tranquil place to stay with views that will blow your mind - look no further and book this place, now.

The hotel stands on the beach. It has pool, room was spatious with sea view and super clean. It has his own mini restorant. We had amazing 3 days.

Rooms are very nice and have a beautiful view. Common areas have beautiful furniture. The manager is very welcoming and always tries his best to help with anything for can! The beach right outside the hotel is beautiful and very empty. Waves can get a bit rough.

Unfortunately, there are only sun beds for half of the rooms and because there is nothing else to do than chilling by the pool and taking a walk on the beach, that is very unfortunate. We chose BBTB because we wanted a small intimate hotel. But if we can not even lay in the shade next to the pool, we wouldn’t chose this place again.

The location was very nice and the pizza + diners were delicious (if the chef making it)

The breakfast schedule was from 7-9.30am. We were requesting (every day) to have breakfast at 7 but we had to wait everyday in between 30-90 minutes before we got served. We have a 2 year old who is starving and eat already a full package of cookies by the time we got served. Even when we got served, te food was cold…. The window in the room was dirty and the bathroom smell was disgusting..

Hygiene (bath smelled like wet dog, cleaning overall not really good, pool was dirty, outside shower full of plants, windows dirty) quite expensive when comparing to better rooms in Ella, Kandy etc.) No bottled water available (only in Glasses from 5 Litre bottles)

Facilities were excellent and clean and the staff were extremely attentive and accomodating.. Especial thanks to Mahesh and Krishna, for going above and beyond to look after our family with personalised service.

Wonderful spot and nice place with beautiful view on the ocean, nice pull and sunbed available. Room is nice a bit smaller than the pictures but still amazing view from the balcony, glasses werew dirty that makes the view worst than reality! Nice bathroom and comfortable shower. There is sensor that control window opening, so if you open it the AC goes down that I understand but if you are inside with closed window you can't put off the AC neither change the temperature cause no controller is provided.

We stayed in the resort 3 nights and cause the location is very isolated we spent our meals inside the resort but just because we didn't have any different choice. We didn't appreciate a lot the kitchen service (hair in our dish, food not very fresh and small portions) and sometimes the service is a bit slow. After we complained about food service we received a discount from the owner that we appreciated.
