Bungalow By The Beach

I had a truly remarkable stay at the Bungalow by the Beach hotel. The breathtaking view from the property was simply mesmerizing. The staff’s exceptional service exceeded all expectations, as they went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. The food was not only fresh but also incredibly tasty, adding to the overall enjoyment of the stay. I wholeheartedly recommend the Bungalow by the Beach for an unforgettable and luxurious getaway.

Beautiful bungalow with 4 gorgeous rooms, very well equipped with all the amenities needed. The bathroom was excellent, and we particularly loved how it is open with glass ceiling above the shower ☺️ We met the owner who’s an architect, and told her that her design is top notch! The small pool and sun loungers by the pool were excellent and a few steps walking on the amazing soft sandy beach gets you to the refreshing, perfectly clean waters of Kalametiya’s Turtle Beach! Heavenly location, and make sure you walk all along the beach as far as you can to enjoy the soft sand and gorgeous weather ☺️ The food at the hotel was fantastic and the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka, with very reasonable prices. The very accommodating and friendly manager Sajana made sure our needs were always met and it was fantastic! Also Mahesh is always smiling and helpful despite his limited knowledge of English. We hope to return soon 🙏🏼☺️

Nothing we didn’t like, but I guess a small fridge in the room would be welcomed. I know there’s no physical place for a pool table, but that would have been fun to have 😊

Staff were so helpful and have really good communication, prioritising customer needs. The rooms are big and comfortable, as are the bathrooms. The pool is nice for a swim, and it’s beachfront so nice for walks there, though the waves mean you probably can’t swim there. The breakfast was super nice and the service was so good. The food in general was good, and again the staff were so accommodating. It’s quiet and a perfect place to relax, with it being easy to get into Tangalle by Tuktuk.

we had the whole place to ourselves and it was incredible. the 3 staff were very friendly and kind, the cook makes the best Kottu in Sri Lanka. the rooms are big with a view of the ocean, you can hear the waves at night. great activities around, like the bird sanctuary which was amazing and the rock monestary. highly recommend you stay here!

nothing - there was nothing to dislike! my only feedback is that the breakfast, Sri Lankan breakfast, was delicious but the portions were huge! we struggled to finish half

Extremely pleasant stay at this hotel. The quality of the rooms and amenities are of the highest levels and the staff and owner who we had the pleasure to meet, were flawless. We cannot recommend this hotel enough, stay here and you will not regret it!

Well the dinner food was not the best. Ordinary pizza should not br spicy and of you already have a nice pizza oven get some help from an Italian to bring out the best. My seefood was unfortunately cold but still delicious.

The location, architecture, the food, friendly and humble staff.

The owners can put a separate person for front office..it is exhausting for three staff to handle everything from housekeeping, kitchen and guest relations.
