We had the room outside the main building - it was really big, with a great shower and lovely porch. It also had a fridge which was very helpful. The pool was amazing. The food was great, we would recommend the Sri Lankan rice and curry. They have kayaks out the back to use in the mangroves, which we really enjoyed. The staff can help organise tuktuks into Tangalle for a good price - its about a 20min ride. The beach is about a 10-15min walk away. The beach itself isn't ideal for swimming, but there's some nice restaurants along it and it's quite quiet.

Halfway through our stay we were the only guests there for a couple of nights. The pool filter was switched off for a few days, but we weren't told and only realised when the pool water became a bit grimy. We would have appreciated being told this instead of having to raise it ourselves, as it created a bit of an uncomfortable feeling afterwards. They did offer us a free breakfast for this though. We would have given the place a 9 of it wasn't for this. Also just to mention, the laundry price is very steep and the quality wasn't great so would avoid.

Extraordinary place, clean, calm, extremely nice and polite personal

Finally a place to stay, whose pictures on booking reflect the reality, and it was even more beautiful. The staff was really nice and helpful, the chef was very attentive and always took into account our requests. My favorite was the boathouse, where we could kayak as much as we wanted.

It is very difficult to close the toilet and bathroom door in the room. We spent there only 2 nights and last night we woke up at 4 AM, because the owners were arguing sooo loudly with each other and my husband had to go out, ask them to keep it down. That's the only reason I didn't give a 10 rating, because it was really unpleasant experience.

Secluded, super friendly helpful staff. Very nice pool and nature all around. You can also try kayak for free. Breakfast is fine and inexpensive. Great value overall.

Furniture in our room was not laptop friendly. Wi-Fi can be improved.

Very nice place with beautiful garden and swimming pool. Welcoming staff, great bed in the bungalow, option to rent scooters, borrow kayaks. Close to turtle's observation center. Strongly recommending

In bungalow you can't fully close the doors to bathroom and toilet. Little far from the city but with scooters no issue at all.

Breakfast was great! We had fresh bean coffee which is not available usualy in Sri Lanka (they use instant coffee). Perfect size breakfast (eggs, bread, juice, coffee, vegitable, bananas). Swimming pool was clean, they have shade under the sun umbrella or at the garden. Thez offer massages in the hotel, what more to wish for. Totally worth of money one room for two adults in this gorgeus place!!!

A difficult one to review. At first, we were so disappointed that we wanted to leave after the first night. It felt that the place wasn't ready for guests. But Nalin and his staff were very welcoming in true Sri Lankan style. Wonderful breakfast cooked by Nalin. The property's ground and swimming pool are very nice and well kept so a good place to relax if it's what you are after. But not much else to do otherwise.

The room was dirty - bedding was stained, with bird or bat poos all over it. We asked for the bedding to be changed after the first night but only the top sheet was changed. Still not acceptable. The rooms were never cleaned either during 3 days. Fridge and safe not working. No hot water. The place is very remote and we were the only guests so it didn't feel warm and welcoming. No briefing telling us about potential use of canoes which we found at the back of the property on the lagoon- were they for guests to use? Lots of mosquitoes (not the property's fault but we couldn't stay outside at dawn). The place is too remote and you need to walk 20mn on a track to access the nearby beach. Not much around except the wonderful Sha Sha seafood cabana on the beach were we had wonderful seafood! But the walk back in the dark afterwards was not pleasant. The beach nearby is not a great beach as you can't swim - it is a very dangerous with big swell.

This place is amazing. God food, service. Clean room. Friendly staff. I will come again.
