For all guests arriving at the hotel, we reserve the right to pre-authorize a credit or debit card for the room rate per night plus an additional £50 per night for extras. The hotel is not charging your credit card. A pre-authorization is a security guarantee for payment only. Any excess pre-authorization will be released on the day of departure.If you cannot provide the hotel with a credit or debit card on check-in to pre-authorize, full prepayment will be required on arrival. Once the pre-authorization has been completed, you may charge items to your room during your stay by presenting your room key card wallet and signing for the transaction. Hotel Guests are welcome to use the Health Club facilities including the swimming pool from 3pm on day of arrival until 11am on day of departure. Please see below our dedicated Children swim times: Monday > Friday: 09:00 - 10.00 (Summer holidays only) and 14:30 - 18:30, Saturday & Sunday: 08:30 - 10:30 and 14:30 - 16:30Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. Clean and functional

You couldn’t open the windows in the room by more than an inch. It was very hot and with no air we both had an extremely uncomfortable couple of nights. We went home a day early.

"Busy hotel with spa close to Cambridge"

The hotel's location was great for visiting Cambridgeshire from airfields to stately homes to the university city itself. Large car park. Close to supermarket & petrol station. Our room was very comfortable & very clean. The housekeeping staff were excellent. The swimming pool & spa were a bonus. All the hotel staff were friendly & polite & wanted to put things right if they could.

The restaurant service, quality of food & availability of menu items fluctuated daily over our 3 night stay. However any problems were addressed very willingly by staff. The only thing they failed to sort out was there was no butter available our whole stay. I just couldn't stomach spreading margerine on my toast!

My wife and I stayed at Cambridge Belfry Hotel & Spa for our 9-month wedding anniversary because we wanted a relaxing break away from work stress and city noise. Unfortunately, the entire experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Check-in was supposed to be at 3pm, but there was only one member of staff working reception, resulting in us waiting almost an hour just to check in. It was also one of the hottest weekends in England, yet the rooms had no air conditioning and the hotel could not even provide fans. To make matters worse, the fridge in our room was completely broken — after leaving water in there for hours it was still warm. We reported this to room service, but nobody ever came to fix it. We then requested an ice bucket from room service and were told by a staff member that they were too short staffed to bring it up, and that we would have to come downstairs to collect it ourselves. The worst part of the stay was during the night. At around 4am, the fire alarm went off and the entire hotel had to evacuate. There was no visible fire and guests were eventually allowed back into their rooms without any proper explanation or reassurance. After returning to our room, the fire alarm continued going off every 15–20 minutes for the rest of the night. It was incredibly loud and made it impossible for my wife and I to sleep. We booked this hotel for a relaxing spa but the spa was awful as well, the steam room had mould on the tiles and the facilities were very dirty. The staff was not helpful or paid any attention to detail. When checking out, I explained to the front desk manager how awful the stay had been and asked what the hotel planned to do to compensate guests. The only thing offered was a “complimentary coffee.” The manager also claimed the alarms were caused by a guest, but another member of staff later admitted the alarm system itself was faulty.

"A lovely relaxed stay"

Bar and restaurant were really lovely - relaxed atmosphere to take kids in. Staff helped by bringing up fans as it was very hot in the room.

Pool was very busy at children’s times, the space in the pool was made even smaller by swimming lessons happening and some people were not sticking to the pool rules with children jumping in etc.
