"Highly recommend made special by the super friendly staff"

10.0

The island is a very relaxed and informal place and a for us a great place to chill after a hectic trip around South America. The hotel typifies this vibe with super friendly staff who can't do enough. The food is really simple, fresh and delicious The rooms are largely and roomy - partially on the top floor. Will organise car hire or even better electric bikes to see the island - highly recommend Will be recommending to our friends

"Cute little boutique hotel"

10.0

As soon as we land in Easter Island, the owner of the hotel picked us up and greeted us with lei’s which was a nice welcome. The property is beautiful with lush garden. Hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating with our needs. breakfast was good. If you need to rent a car they offer that as well for a cheaper price compared to the prices in the main town. Overall I give this hotel a 10/10

"Very good hotel with amazing wi-fi/internet"

10.0

Extremely fast wifi / internet (capable of video conferencing), very good breakfast selection (eggs made to order, fresh fruit, sausage/bacon, selection of breads and pastries), very friendly employees. The property itself is more secluded than most other hotels and is very peaceful (there are some wild chickens nearby but they just run away from you). The rooms are spacious and have individually controlled AC.

"The OHANA falls short on expectations"

6.0

While Rapa Nui is undoubtedly a beautiful and unique destination, my stay at this hotel fell short of expectations — especially considering the high price point for five nights. Despite a kind gestures from the staff, such as offering me dinner after reporting issues, the overall experience does not justify the cost. One major issue is the misleading information on Booking.com, where the hotel is listed as offering lunch and dinner at an additional cost. In reality, these meals are only occasionally available. I mentioned this discrepancy to the front desk staff, who acknowledged it and kindly promised to correct the listing — but it should never have been inaccurate in the first place. I was invited to dinner one evening — and while it was of excellent quality, this doesn’t compensate for the structural shortcomings. Both rooms I stayed in had malfunctioning air conditioning units, poorly installed and extremely noisy. I didn’t request a room change — it was offered — but the second unit had the same issues. A fan was eventually provided after I asked, but it should have been offered proactively. Soundproofing is a serious problem. From my ground floor room, I could hear every footstep and piece of furniture being moved in the room above. Additionally, the hotel is located near a road, and while it’s quieter at night, you can hear passing cars during the day — something to consider if you’re sensitive to noise. That said, breakfast was a true highlight. Everything is homemade, from the bread to the pastries, and the eggs were fresh and well prepared. The coffee could be improved, but overall, breakfast was excellent. The dinner I was offered was also of high quality, which only makes it more disappointing that meals are not offered more consistently. The hotel is isolated, with no nearby shops or restaurants. Airport transfer is included, but I was initially told I would be dropped off three hours before my flight — which is unnecessary for such a small airport. The reason, it turns out, was to consolidate guest transport and avoid multiple trips. While construction on Rapa Nui can be challenging due to limited access to materials, this does not justify the poor construction quality of the hotel — particularly the lack of insulation and basic architectural care. One bright spot in my experience was the kindness of the front desk staff. They were consistently friendly, responsive, and eager to help. Unfortunately, they are left trying to compensate — with great effort — for the structural deficiencies of the property. In short, while the food and some elements of service stand out, the overall experience does not offer good value for money. For a hotel in this price range, guests should be able to expect comfort, reliability, and attention to detail — not just nice touches here and there.

"Exceptional"

10.0

We received excellent service during our Rapa Nui tour, which included wonderful lunches and dinners made from local ingredients. The arrangements for our local tours were very responsive, and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable. The room we stayed in was spacious, quiet, and offered a beautiful view of the garden and the ocean. Additionally, the bedding was exceptionally comfortable.

"Gotta be the best hotel on the island!"

10.0

Not that I can truly compare because this was my first trip to Easter Island and I have not stayed anywhere else. But I can say that if you book your stay here, you will not be disappointed. We were welcomed with a welcome drink and a smile. The hotel looks brand new. Our room was large and comfortable with a private deck overlooking the pool. But the best part of the stay was the service. We used a bucket or two of ice each night and Alejandra always provided it with a smile. She booked our cab rides for us and made fresh water for us as well. We can not say enough about the hospitality. There were a few minor issues like no Kleenex provided and there isn't a shelf in the shower stall to place your personal items. Be warned that the hotel is not in the village of Hanga Roa necessitating a $5 taxi ride one way to get to town (or a 50 minute walk). If we ever come back to Rapa Nui, this is definitely the place we will stay. Like I said,a better place in

"There was a problem with the air con and the staff and management went far behind expectations to fix the issue and make"

10.0

The room was large enough to be an apartment. It was the largest and best designed hotel room I have ever stayed in, and I have been to over 100 countries.

Nothing to dislike.
