The hotel and its grounds were very nice. It offered a lot of value compared to other options on the island. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help provide recommendations and assist with transportation needs. The hotel is set away from the main town of Hanga Roa which we preferred, but does mean that it requires a taxi or vehicle to go to and from town. So long as you understand this, the hotel should meet or exceed all of your expectations.

I was a little apprehensive when booking the hotel for a group of 11-people. However, Hotel Ohana was amazing. They were thoughtful considerate of our group give we had adults, kids, and even a baby. The property is amazing...clean, well maintained, and great design. The food offered on-site was more than adequate and kept us charged up for our adventure. The staff was extremely pleasant and gave a very family like welcome. I would highly recommend this property and would also visit again based on our interaction with the Ohana owner, manager, and staff. Note: The property is a 30-40 minute walk from the downtown area. Not a deal breaker but if you have little kids or baby it can make for a longer process to get in the middle of the action.

The Ohana is a gorgeous boutique hotel with only 8 rooms. It is situated around a really beautiful pool area with loungers and very well planted and immaculately maintained gardens. Pablo mentioned that they have their own mango trees, not in season when we were there. We were picked up at the airport and greeted in the hotel with some fresh mango juice. The rooms are spacious and over look the pool and garden area. They have a large walk in shower and everything is spotless, modern and operational. There is a functional air conditioning unit. However the hairdryer was like a child’s toy, so if you need a bit of serious drying/styling bring your own. The bed linen was a soft, crisp cotton with duvet if required. Breakfast is buffet style with your choice of eggs cooked to order. They served delicious fresh pineapple juice o local “wild” cherry, a new one on me. I had to try it of course. Other offerings included cold meats, cheese, fresh pineapple and orange. As well as home made cakes, viennoiserie and toast with lots of local fruit jams and spreads. Coffee was in a hot flask with tea available. The addition of a “Nespresso” style machine would really make a big difference if you are a coffee lover. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and are always so kind and helpful. On our first day we couldn’t get a taxi to take us to the waterfront so Pablo very kindly gave us a ride. There are 2 banks in Hanga Roa always handy to have cash for taxis or if the local internet connection goes down you can’t use credit cards (this can be for 4 or 5 hours at a time) and very common. The only drawback for the hotel is its location, a good 30 to 40 minute walk from the water front and associated restaurants. We a time times struggled to get a taxi (What’s App down) or simply no drivers available. The owner of the restaurant on the sunset beach very kindly had to give us a lift back after a meal. To improve service for guests a staff member/driver would really make a positive impact for guests as there was no evening meal service. Overall a beautiful hotel and great staff, but do think about taxis/walk when you go out in the evening.

The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. The staff are attentive and helpful. The rooms each have a nice outlook into the gardens and a nice balcony on which you can sit and relax.

The location is on the periphery of town and is a lengthy walk if you don’t get a taxi to or from town you need to be in reasonably good shape (40 mins approx. especially uphill on the way back). This being said, the daily tours organised via the hotel were picked up and dropped off at the hotel itself so the location is only a minor downside of what is overall a very good hotel.

This property was outstanding in every way. After spending three days on the island - I can say we did not have a single regret - I hope we are lucky enough to return some day. (Family of 4 using two rooms)

No issues to report at all - rooms, staff, food, location, everything was top notch. Ohana is on par with some of our favorite hotels we have ever stayed in.

Great little find. Walking distance to the town but not in the town, so peace and quiet is plentiful. Great location for all trips. Staff went above and beyond from arrival to our leaving. We stayed six days but it was never enough Only having nine rooms you receive truly personal service , nothing is too much trouble. Food is fresh and flavoursome. Lovely pool area to relax after your days out. If and when we return it will definitely be a revisit.

I totally agree with the other reviews. This 9 room boutique hotel has a nice building, beautiful and clean rooms with tv and airconditioning, well equiped bathroom with powerful shower, comfortable bed, balcony that overlooks the garden, pool and jacuzzi with sun beds and umbrellas, very tasteful breakfast with variety of choices, good working wifi. And then the staff: all the members are willing to do this little extra for the guests. Very attentive and personalized. And one member in particular: Andrea, thank you for making my stay extra special. Is there something negative to say: the location is close to the airport (but you don’t have any discomfort of this) but it also means it is quite a bit outside the centre of the village. You could walk it (30-45minutes) but the staff is more than happy to arrange a (very good) taxi for you, that takes you there within 10 minutes for like $5-6. Should I ever return to Easter Island, this would be the place where I would stay again!
