Hotel Roca Dura

Very unique design and layout. The building is very solid and custom built. The food was excellent and the staff and owner were very attentive.

Somewhat open with design details.

Very nice location in the middle of the jungle with great access to Río Chirripó

Good location (near the main bus stop to San Isidro). Very peaceful and had a room with a large window that gave us good views of the birds. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant - big portions, tasty food (especially the pancakes and nachos), and good value for money.

Room was slightly dingy. Could have done with slightly more/brighter lights. Cold showers.

Very accommodating and friendly staff; the meals we ate in the hotel restaurant were also amazing.

Friendly staff. Excellent location. The restaurant also serves excellent food.

The food was good and reasonably priced, we had a great evening birdwatching from the restaurant. They were also able to hold on to a few of our extra bags while we climbed the mountain so that we could pick them up after. This was awesome and saved us the risk of keeping things overnight in our car or taking unnecessary weight up the mountain.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable.
