White Villa Kitulgala

Beautiful location, lovely bungalow nestled amongst the jungle canopy, overlooking the river with an amazing swimming hole/ lagoon 2 min walk from the location. Location also conveniently located near bus stop to Hatton etc. food was outstanding! Both breakfast and dinner. Incredible service and attention from Rangi and her family. We loved our stay. They also booked us in for canyoning and absailing including pickup! :)

There was an ant problem, thankfully it was isolated to the bathroom so no big deal. You’re in the jungle so it would be hard to keep bugs out. Also no WiFi. Everything else was great value for your money though.

Great location out of town, private balcony and good breakfast. The manager and staff were good and they also have a small shop adjacent for those essentials.

Wifi wasn't working when I was there. There was some confusion over the booking but resolved without fuss.

Beautiful environment, nice balcony, the host is very friendly, she helped us book rafting and canyoning and she is eager to think with your wishes. The room was clean and spacious, you can dine on your own balcony and enjoy the view. There is a nice waterfall nearby were you can refresh yourself almost in private. Shower has hot water.

Lots of ants in the bathroom. The road to the accomodation is bumpy (lots of holes in the road) and a bit far from the main street so taxi or own transport is recommended The dinner at the hotel is relatively expensive and you have to pay service charge. Also, the bottle of water at breakfast was not included in the breakfast and was priced as in a restaurant.

We have had the best stay at White Villa! Rangi and her mother made us feel so welcome. We have never experienced such hospitality - they really went out of their way to make our stay special. Rangi spoke perfect English, gave us tips about the local area and even helped us move onto Nuwara Eliya, speaking on the phone to the bus driver! Our rafting guides picked us up and dropped us off, so it’s very close to the local attractions. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked by her mother which was amazing! They brought dinner down to our room, which we ate at the table outside listening to the sounds of the Forest. It was incredible! As for the room, comfortable bed, hot shower and balcony overlooking the beautiful forest. There is a stream just a minute walk away where you can swim. We have had the perfect stay here and recommend this place to anyone. Thank you so much to Rangi and her mother - best of luck with the rest of your studies!😁

Beautiful views, super friendly host! Loved the natural pool. They also planned rafting and canyoning ( a must do, great fun! ) for a great price

I booked a room with breakfast included. The breakfast which they provided me was so good. The owner has arranged us with the water rafting package. It was so fun and the price was also ok.

There was no Wi-Fi when we visited the property. But the owner was generous to share their mobile hotspot. Towels and bed sheets were not clean.

Awesome food, great location with a good view over the mountains and forest with monkeys. Loved the sound of nature in the cabin. Very close to natural pools you can swim and climb through. The service from Rangi was great, thanks!

The bus dropped us at a roadside sign for White Villa at the end of a steep lane. We walked up through the jungle, passing a troupe of monkeys then a couple of houses. I called Rangi who showed us to a communal terrace. After tea and biscuits we were lead to our bungalow, which was raised so we felt suspended in the forest! The room was spacious and immaculate. The shower was fabulous with plenty of hot water. The balcony was big with a table and chairs and a mountain view. A 30 metre walk took us down to a natural pool for a dip. Dinner was fantastic, best food we’ve had this holiday. Rangi brought it to the balcony for us and explained what each dish was and chatted about the area. She is utterly charming and hospitable. Big bed, white linen sheets and a blanket made for a good sleep. Picked up from there by the rafting guys (Rangi knew them) in the morning with a short hop to the river.

A kettle in the room would be useful. Maybe a mini fridge too.

Rafting, good food, natural pool, good host

Unique location, in the midst of nature. A natural pool is at the side, so beautiful!

It's a humid environment, you can feel and smell it.
