Clean and beautiful grounds

Sadly - the main reason I chose Victoria was for the pool. But it was empty, closed for painting ?? They should have updated Booking.com etc !!

Staff was great! I liked them from the very beginning. Reina and the owner specially were very nice people. The room was clean and comfortable. AC and WiFi were great. Mango trees in the property were impressive

No shampoo or soap in the shower but that’s ok.

The pool was stunning and the area you dine in very pretty and modern. Close to ferry and a few other activities.

This is something I noticed overall on this island that the rooms everywhere are very basic. Specific to hotel Victoria, they are charging over $100 a night to stay there (pricey for this island) and the rooms still very very basic. Also - the property is surrounded by fruit trees - their breakfast could be improved slightly by simply the addition of adding a nice fruit bowl and fresh juice to round out the breakfast.

The property is amazingly peaceful and beautiful, perfectly located just a few steps to the road that leads to Punta Jesús María, and with an amazing view of Concepcion. And one of the best parts about it was the person managing the property, Clarissa - literally the kindest, most helpful host ever; she actually somewhat inspired me to decide to climb the volcano (and set me up with a guide) and stay another night. I’d heard that it might be hard to recuperate from the trek, and I could not imagine a better place to come back to than this.

There was NOTHING I did not like

The bed was huge and comfy. The a/c worked well but the controller stuck on the was not so good. There were plenty of outlets but they didn’t hold things plugged into them well.

There were so very many roaches in the bathroom. It made it difficult to relax and sleep without thinking they were crawling all over me. The rooms are all next to the common area especially mine, 33, which means there is no peace and quiet. Also the window shades didn’t close completely which made privacy in a high traffic area difficult. The menu for food was small, and they are very understaffed so ordering takes a long time.

A very picturesque site, peaceful, with well manicured garden/lawn and a nice pool. The room was spotless and it was fantastic to have air conditioning after having spent a week elsewhere with only a fan. Breakfast was sufficient. (I would have included some great pictures but I couldn't get them to download.)

I would have scored it higher, but when I got there the WiFi was being repaired (which they finished same day) and every time I wanted to look at the TV, I had to connect and reconnect the box to get a picture.

The pool is fantastic and hotel is in a peaceful setting.

Wifi wasn’t working during our stay. Food is expensive compared to other hotels.

Beautiful vistas, clean, refreshing pool, tranquility, delightful staff, from the friendly gardeners to the dancing cocinera Reyna, delightful doña Diana, and Karliza. I felt like part of the family.

The internet was unstable, and didn’t work well in my room, had to drive to leave property to shop, etc.
