Hotel Urban Tree At Delhi Airport

Food menu was expensive

Location is pretty good. Rooms are okay okay, not so neat and clean like it was used to be few years back.

Washroom too k much dirty with faulty rusty geyser which even sends you shocks while you using the hot water. No soundproof rooms, you can literally hear road sounds and staff talking, TV sounds from other rooms. Bedsheets too much dirty, pillows had stains, blanket also dirty. Chairs filled with stains and dirt. Toilet too much dirty.

The bathroom was not clean, shower did not have hot water and overall did not work well. Overall the room looked like a run-down and not well cleaned version of the room's pictures.

Only reason it wasn’t 1/10 was the assistant who took me to the cash point was helpful

We had very little contact off the property prior to arriving in Delhi after advising we would be arriving late at night. Upon arrival into Delhi and getting in a taxi we managed to call the hotel who said they were closed due to demonstrations in the area and to go to a tourist information centre. We were aware this is part of a scam from people previously caught out (so watch out if you are told this in Delhi in general). We then said for the taxi to take us to Aerocity to the ibis instead. The driver said they would speak to the hotel, and once they did all of a sudden the hotel was open and we arrived just after midnight. Upon arrival we asked the guy on reception (in his 50s/60s) why he said the hotel was closed and the response was that they told booking.com and it was their responsibility to let us know (even though the hotel was open as we were stood in it?) We were then told we needed to pay in cash despite the booking stating a payment would be taken by card, then when questioning this all of a sudden he couldn’t understand anything we were saying. We eventually had to show him on booking.com how to mark the booking as ‘guest paid in full’. The room itself was dirty with stains all over the sheets, the flush didn’t work in the bathroom and was building equipment on the floor and in the wardrobe. (Probably why they didn’t want us staying as they could take payment from booking.com anyway). Would’ve booked in somewhere elsewhere and not stayed but was in a rough area and late at night. Walls were very thin and could hear someone vomiting badly in a different room. Didn’t feel safe there at all. Breakfast was in a different hotel and looked a bit grim (we didn’t bother eating any of it). The water was missing its seal so couldn’t even drink that. We spoke to another guest at the hotel who complained they had been double charged by the hotel.

The room was maintained well and was clean. The housekeeping staff was approachable and helpful.

Food was not really good, wouldn't recommend ordering room service.
