Good Heritage Hotel In Karaikudi. well maintained. Excellent staff service. exceptional food. Had a nice time staying fora day. Will recommend to everyone and if given a chance will comeback to the property.

Good location, beautiful property, clean room, very friendly and approachable staff.

Rooms lack telephone (therefore no room service) and TV. The lunch/dinner menus are limited, fixed and a bit expensive for what is offered.

Exceptional food. It is worth going there just for their lunch. I haven’t had a better lunch anywhere in the south of India, than The Bangala. The people who serve make it an exceptional experience.

This place is truly a hidden gem. The open, spacious verandas and beautifully maintained garden create such a peaceful atmosphere. The swimming pool is clean, and the guests tend to have a high civic sense, which adds to the overall calm. I really appreciated the absence of TVs in the rooms and no forced bonfires or nighttime activities—such a refreshing change! The staff are super friendly yet non-intrusive, always available without being overbearing. Beds and linens were perfect, and a special mention for using non-plastic water bottles—a small but meaningful touch. Highly recommended for anyone looking to slow down and enjoy thoughtful hospitality in a serene setting. Food was mindblowing, the flavors, textures and presentations, broke the spell i had on Chettinad food!

There’s a tendency among staff to turn on their cellphones with loud sound when not busy. I understand this is quite common these days, but it can disrupt the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. There’s plenty of space in the back garden—perhaps it could be used to grow vegetables and properly recycle organic waste? Toothbrushes could be switched to bamboo alternatives, and shampoo containers replaced with ceramic ones—easily sourced from local antique ceramic shops. It would align beautifully with a more sustainable approach. The ceiling fans upstairs (I was in Room 24) only seem to work at full speed. It would be great if that could be adjusted.

Very well maintained and beautiful heritage bungalow. Very hospitable staff. Nice locations to see around Karaikudi and Kanadukathan.

Very pricey, especially the food. No TV in the rooms - in a way was good digital detox.
