Queensberry arms hotel

Elma and Martin are a lovely couple, welcoming and helpful. We checked in at the bar and Martin met us at the stairs and carried our bags up for us. The room was clean and warm. Bed was comfy. En-suite in room 18 is very compact but has all you need. Breakfast was lovely. Checkout was quick, we just left the key in the room door and departed. There is a shared bathroom/shower room, including a large bath and large shower.

The rooms are small, with little storage, which might be a problem for a longer stay, but for a few nights is absolutely fine. The room with the en-suite has a small shower, but there are shared showers which are bigger, so don't let that put you off.

Owners are two of the loveliest people I’ve met, they were very understanding of our reason for late check in and went above and beyond for us. Breakfast was amazing, one of the best full breakfasts we’ve ever had

Breakfast and supper very good. Owner and his wife were lovely and very pet friendly.

Wash basins in rooms not on suite would be desirable.

Good food, friendly staff good for overnight stop.
