Sumba Beach House

The location is wonderful, the villas are very clean and comfortable and the friendly staff are all doing a wonderful job, with our special thanks to Leonie. The food was delicious and we chose to eat all our meals there. You may find that neighbouring guests may use the facilities. Would highly recommend this property, and we would love to stay there again.

A equipe toda é super educada, prestativa e gentil. As cabanas são super bem equipadas e os banheiros são encantadores. A comida da pousada é extremamente deliciosa também.

Sugestão para deixar o espaço ainda mais completo é disponibilizar um varal de piso para secagem das roupas/toalhas.

Location was unbeatable. Right on the beach with first class views of the sunrise, sunset and horses buffalo and locals as they went about daily life. Absolutely stunning authentic experience set in luxurious design and stylish interiors. Exceptional welcome, the owners enjoying the surf everyday and inviting us to join made it all feel so wholesome and heartfelt. This place is more than a hotel, it’s someone’s love letter to the island of Sumba and the passion project is infectious. Didn’t want to leave this serene and magical place: thanks for having us !

Location was beautiful and the staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating to any needs we had. Food was good and breakfast was included which is always a bonus! Loved watching the buffaloes walk along the beach in the mornings and afternoons.

The showers only stay hot for about 10 seconds so you do need to shower quickly if you want a hot one. This isn't the Beach House's fault but there are ALOT of migies/gnats on the beaches. We got absolutely attacked by them and covered our whole body, definitely impacted our stay as we were so incredibly itchy. Make sure you take lots of bug spray, antihistamine's and bug bite creams with you!!!

Great Location, very remote 4hr car ride from airport. Had a great beachfront feel. Staff were great.

Rooms were average, wifi basically non existent. Our 1st Negroni was delish, 2nd tasted nothing like a Negroni so we steered clear incase they may not be using authentic Negroni components. Stuck to Bintang. The food was not outstanding in any way. They offer a special group feast, I’d avoid it as it’s extremely expensive and not value for money. The shore break was particularly treacherous making swimming uncomfortable.
