Sumba Beach House

It's an amazing area to visit, the beach house itself, beach, local villages are all really interesting. Loved watching the buffalo herd roam past on the beach. Staff are lovely and helpful.

This property was incredible. Located right on the beach in front of a fun surf break. The rooms were simple and very nicely finished. Beds very comfortable and spacious bathrooms, that were all cleaned twice a day. The staff were all so warm, welcoming and accomodating. Always smiling. The food was delicious and a good variety. The pool and seating areas overlooking the ocean were perfect. Our two young children loved it here also. We can’t wait to come back again!

Nothing - it was all really wonderful

Gorgeous four villa accommodation. Staff were fantastic, young, helpful and friendly. Room was lovely, bed and pillows very comfortable. Bathroom is a standout, absolutely beautiful. View of beach is lovely. Staff that clean room are amazing 👏Fresh water everyday. Bathroom supplies such attention to detail.👌 Food is good both western and Asian.

Don't expect to get very clean. The shower 🚿 is Saltwater. For three days it actually wasn't too bad. Any longer and it would have been. Sumba is expensive. Don't expect Bali prices.

Right at the beach, this small resort is brand new, clean and run by super friendly local staff. From the moment we checked in until our departure, Kule and his team looked after us, and made the stay a perfect one. With only 5 rooms, this resort provides a perfect place to relax and watch the waves, horses on the beach and every now and then also buffaloes.

Gorgeous hotel situated on a stunning stretch of beach in West Sumba. Beautiful, comfortable, cosy. The kitchen and bar served a decent, if limited, range of vegetarian options.

My one big concern was the doors to my villa didn't close properly – a strange choice given the Malaria risk in Sumba, plus keeping the air conditioning inside.

Loved the location, proximity to such a fun wave. The staff were incredibly hospitable and nothing was too much to ask. Food was amazing and fresh and always had a full stock of drinks and bintangs. Thanks to Kule and his amazing team for a great holiday that we will remember for a long time.
