Location, rooms, view and food are excellent

The property is stunning, perched beside Kerewe Beach. Its design is gorgeous and very fitting to the context. The bar, restaurant and pool area are beautiful spots to relax and take in the scenery. The beach is lovely to stroll along.

The power kept cutting out throughout my one night stay. This meant the air conditioner kept beeping on and off all night and the shower and taps wouldn’t work when power out. So had to leave air con off for some better sleep, though it seemed still to glitch. My room, whilst with a divine ocean view, wasn’t exactly quiet, I guess the staff or locals, not sure which, would convene right behind my room as it was on the end and they’d chat from early morning all morning into lunch time. It didn’t help with my sleep throughout the night already being disrupted. My room also had different decor to that in the pictures. Still pretty, and colourful with traditional woven cloths but not as expected.

A beautiful small resort on a beautiful beach that we had almost only for ourselves. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The semi-outdoor bathroom was very spacious! Good vibe and friendly staff.

Quality of food and drinks could be improved.

Power outages were really frequent and long. It is important to know that you cannot use the water when the electricity is out so you cannot use the toilet or wash your hands. We asked to rent a bike and they were half broken. We had to ask people on the road because the engine would just stop randomly. Many food on the menu was not available which makes the choices quite limited. Staff answers questions in a very brief way, not engaging more.

It’s cozy and right in front of the beach. They have a restaurant with drinks and a decent menu with some specials, which luckily for us was lobster when we arrived. Big, fat, fresh lobster. Staff is kind and the rooms are super comfortable and well designed.

Dont ever let their shampoo fall in your eyes. Seriously, couldn’t open my eye for one whole day, was bloody red. I don’t know what they put in that thing. Apart from that everything was beautiful.

This was my first time to Sumba. The beach house is the best location. Beautiful beaches. Great food. But the staff and local people really made our stay special. Particularly a lady named Jenni. She works at the beach house. She is helpful, funny, great English, and just made our stay homely. Already miss seeing her beautiful smile. The local kids on the beach are always wanting to practice there English with me. What an amazing adventure
