Hoshi no Sato

The views were beautiful. The rooms were very clean. The caretaker was friendly and very accommodating.

The inside is a little dated, but very clean.

Helpful and attentive owner, nice gesture to offer small breakfast consisting at egg and bread and coffee. Clean rooms and common areas.

Very old facilities, the photos do not reflect how old everything is. It’s still very clean but not renewed or upgraded. The price too high for such an old place in a remote area.

It's in a nice quiet area, about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop. The gardens are very pretty and there are two onsens for private use. Breakfast was small but adequate. Staff were helpful.

It's an old hotel, shows its age in some areas. The indoor onsen had an extremely loud screaming extractor fan which made the experience unpleasant.

Loved everything about this place, the owner was lovely, beds super comfortable, plenty of space in the rooms, breakfast provided, private use of two onsen, close to restaurants but in a quiet area. Loved it.

Wonderful staff/owners. Friendly, helpful. Spacious room. Excellent onsen. Overall a really great place to stay. Highly recommended.

Not dislikes, just suggestions. Towels in the onsen would be nice. Not many powerpoints in room so a power board would be useful. Don't use your car's GPS. Use Google maps instead.

It’s in a quiet pretty location with its own private outside onsen. The host is lovely and so helpful. It was nice having the toast and eggs included for breakfast.

The room was big and many amenities were provided which I actually didn't expect. The owner was very nice and used a translator app to communicate with us. The breakfast included was very simple (toast and hard boiled egg) but not bad. The free private onsen was lovely and for the room price it's really great value

The room was worn out. Chairs fabric was torn, carpet had stains on it. The really bad part was that I didn't have hot water in the shower. After maybe 10 minutes I finally did get hot water, my guess is that someone in another room was also taking a shower and that effected my shower. In any case I was eventually able to take a shower, but it wasn't a good experince

Small friendly hotel and the hotel lady went out of her way to help. Despite Booking.com mentioning that there is no WiFi, well, there is, which was an added bonus. Also loved the hot spring
