Very old furniture,to much cost but not facilities

the food served in the restaurant was good local fare.

The bedroom was far too hot, There was a noisy air conditioning unit that did not cope with the heat. far too hot for sleep and being comfortable

Weird staff, small and uncomfortable rooms. Also expensive. You can hear all possible noises through the walls. As much as I do love the area, I wouldn't come back there. Haven't eaten breakfast there so I don't know the quality of food.

Visiting this area is most certainly worthwhile, the landscape is breathtaking in every season. This hotel however has forgotten to do any maintenance or modernization in the last 40-50 years, which in itself could result in a charming retro hotel. However, in this case the result was a sad mix of dilapidated mess that would be refused in a thrift store, mold on the walls and floor of the bathroom, a dirty air and a bed that felt like sandpaper. Needless to say that I cancelled the remainder of my stay after one night (disturbed by the noisy highway) and booked myself into a decent hotel. However vengeful a person I may be, I would not even book my worst enemy in this hotel. Be warned!!

A very peculiar mixture this. A wonderful location overlooking the town and surrounding countryside - very good service and excellent food - the breakfast was about the best we had all holiday. The room, however, was dark and very dusty and the bed extremely uncomfortable with very poor quality linen; it had not been updated since the late sixties by the look of it. Disappointing.

This is a lovely old style country inn, with the most wonderful restaurant. Rooms are spotless and comfortable but the highlight of the place is definitely the restaurant. The food is just down home great and the view of the forrest adds to the ambiance. The location is on the edge of a large forest with great hiking trails. We will be going back next year.
