The Strontian Hotel

The location was great so many places to explore we could have stayed another day or two in Strontian. The breakfast at the Strontian Hotel was perhaps the best (and coffee!) we had in Scotland, and the serving staff were lovely. It is because of the kindness of the servers at dinner, and breakfast that I have rated this stay as highly as I have. Lovely bathtub and hot water!

I have never felt the need to give a negative review before, but I would never recommend this place- and would never stay there again. The person (manager or owner I don't know} who checked us in was border-line rude. The beds were the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in (I could feel the bed springs!). When I informed the manager, she did speak to me and provided an extra "topper" for the bed, but did not seem concerned- told me no one else had "complained". Also the bathroom did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned in a while.

L’emplacement est exceptionnel avec le loch rien que pour nous. Très calme. Paisible. L’hôtel est très cosy. Les chambres sont confortables et chaleureuses. Le Bothy bar, attenant, très bien pour manger et/ou boire un coup. Nous reviendrons assurément.

De locatie aan een 'loch' en het restaurant/pub. Eten goed en lekker!

Hotel is vergane glorie. Oud, schimmel in de badkamer, en niet zo'n frisse vloerbedekking in de slaapkamer.

Breakfast was very good and well organised with very friendly staff.

The mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable with springs digging in and could do with replacing.

Long cobwebs hanging from bedroom ceiling,room needed some upgrading to modern expectations

The owner and the staff were really nice and the view was very beautiful even with the cloudy weather.
