Zhongshan International Hotel

I should have noted the 5th star crossed out at the reception desk... an old hotel with old dated batthroom and barely 4 star... no separate shower and a squeeze all for shampoo etc. Also a stinking room (smoker) which we were unable to change has made this the first and last stay here. Of course the room rates said it all... you get what you pay for!

This property is very nice with free internet and very nice rooms on the executive floor. My room had a very large bathroom with separate tub and shower. There was a desk, loveseat, cocktail table, and a large widescreen TV mounted on the wall. Be sure to book a room on the executive floor to have an updated room. Although it is an "international" hotel I was one of very few Westerners staying there as most have moved to other hotels. The included breakfast was more Asian than I anticipated but the food was still good. Hotel is close to local shopping but you may not want to stray too far down the side streets at night. There is a McDonald's directly across the street. The hotel's 20th floor is a revolving restaurant with a variety of food.

It is centrally located in the center of the world's biggest lighting market & in the night it really looks very beautiful, infact the entire Guzhen town looks very beautiful with those lights in the night. Though its an old hotel but quite maintained & is connected to the market & few food joints. The only thing that made me upset was unavailability of any Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. All in all it was worth the money paid.
