Oruwa was one of the best hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka. We really enjoyed that it is 10 minutes away (by tuk tuk) from the busy Main Street in Arugam bay as it was much more chilled out. The staff were incredible - the restaurant manager Firoze made our stay extra special, he was so attentive and kind and made sure all of our needs were met. What a guy! The owner of the hotel was also very nice and helpful with booking trips & excursions and everybody couldn’t do enough to make sure we were happy.

The road up to the hotel is bad but the owner is aware and hopefully this will be sorted soon. The hotel provides a shuttle service to Arugam bay to make up for this and quite frankly it’s not enough of an issue to not stay at this beautiful hotel.
