The food is fantastic all locally sourced and the chefs were great at cooking it! Breakfast was very wholesome and is served to the table. The lady in charge was very helpful and so customer focussed - well done!

A historic and interesting property situation in the centre of Bedlington. A spacious bedroom with comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful and were able to find a secure and dry location to store my bike overnight. Dinner was exceptional, with an interesting menu with great flavours and less common combinations - highly recommended.

To my taste the both dinner and breakfast were over seasoned, to the extent that I did not finish the morning's scrambled eggs. Minor housekeeping points; the curtains did not properly open and close, and the slider shower head sprayed water from a worn fitting and to have an useful shower it was necessary to use the rain shower, which I personally do not enjoy.

The welcome and attention was faultless. A member of staff assisted us with carrying luggage to the attic room (a detail I had missed on the booking form). This is a pub with rooms which was busy and vibrant. We arrived as food service was finishing and supermarkets were closing, however we were directed to takeaway food places. There was live entertainment lat on Sunday afternoon which added to the charm. The whole building was beautifully dressed with period pieces. Our room was spotless and quirky with a roll top bath and a Juliet balcony. The establishment is extremely dog friendly. Our breakfast was generous and well cooked.

The shower lacked a screen or curtain so the floor was saturated. China cups and saucers were cute but far too small for a decent cuppa.

Clean, spacious room with a really comfortable bed. You could order food at the bar and have it brought up to your room, which was a lovely touch. The food itself was incredible. We had dinner in the room and breakfast in the bar, and both were excellent. Great quality and generous portions. Would definitely recommend.

The room itself was amazing. The only thing I’d change personally was the bathroom. We had the last room available, which was an accessible room, so the bathroom was a wet room style and not as comfortable for us. That’s just personal preference though. I wouldn’t mark it down for that, as it was the only option available, and for someone who needs accessibility, it would likely be ideal.

Lovely feel in an old building. Unique quirky and classy decor throughout. Pictures on site, dont do justice to the rooms. Food was exceptional and staff were welcoming , friendly and helpful.
