"A very comfortable place to stay for short holidays"

9.0

Nice location with a view to the water front

The traffic noise in the front rooms where I stayed at was too much sometimes But improved later on in the night

"Should be a better rating, but the Boy Racers outside ruined our stay"

5.0

The Hawes Inn is a lovely hotel with great views of the Firth of Forth and friendly staff. It is clean and the breakfast is great, with plenty of choice

The problem, though not their fault, are the boy racers on the street outside. Not only do they race up and down, they play loud music and beep their horns until 1.30am in the morning. Whilst there we googled the problem and it appears that this is an ongoing issue (for a number of years) driving residents and business to distraction. Despite a dispersal order in place, they still congregate. We were there for a wedding, so felt stuck. If not for this we would have left and gone elsewhere. If you wish to visit, I would be inclined to check google and see what the town of Queensferry is doing about the problem.

"Great location"

8.0

Most things were okay. The room was large, clean & tidy. We ordered a Pizza for dinner, it was below average, and the night staff were not very helpful. The breakfast was great, and the lady at breakfast was very helpful. We enjoyed the location, but be aware of the trains overhead during the night; they are noisy.
