Ledgowan Lodge Hotel

Main house hotel looked nice. Craig was. I’ve and worked hard. He seemed to be the only member of staff other than the chef.

We booked the ‘Courtyard Suite’. It’s not really a suite and it’s not in a courtyard. This room is in what looks like a breeze block extension at the back of the main house.The bedroom has no windows only 2 small skylights. There is a living room which looks out into the hills and another breeze block lodge cleverly hidden in the pictures on booking.com. The kitchen weirdly has no cooker but an airfryer. The whole place smelt of chemicals. The WiFi had only one bar in one room and did not work in the bedroom. Decorations were absolutely minimal. We were meant to stay two nights but had to escape after one. This could be sold as a poor Airbnb but it’s not one I would want to book again.

The manager was very friendly and helpful. My daughter forgot her wallet in her room and he shipped it to her.

The decoration was good, especially the ceilings and curtains.

The size of our room and the price was disgusting. It was meant to be a double but should only have been a single. There was nowhere prices in Scotland are very expensive.

Everything: nice place very comfortable, nice food, staff efficient and friendly
