Location was fine, 20 minutes to the center by car. The hotel is located on a hill and have 2 beaches near it. They have a shuttle service to both beaches. The breakfast was fine, lots of alternatives. There is a alacart restaurant and the food is very good in the hotel. The staff are also very friendly and kind. The cleaning is good, they clean the room every day.

The shuttle to the beaches can start earlier than 11:00 and sunbathes & umbrella can be free of charge.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. The food was good and the location superb with amazing views. Our room was very comfortable. The pool was beautiful and very clean.

The hotel has no lift! Not an issue for us but definitely limiting for people with mobility issues. The pool was beautiful and clean but not child friendly - there was no shallow end and the deepest part is 4meters, Although there was always a lifeguard on duty during the day. There were not enough sun beds at the hotel and to hire sun beds on the beach was really expensive and have to be pre booked and paid for through a website. The hotel is in a stunning location and high up so it gets a beautiful breeze but getting into the town centre requires bus or taxi and while the hotel offers a mini bus free of charge to get in, the last bus is at 8.30pm to return to the hotel after that we were dependant on getting a taxi back and there were never enough taxis and the wait could be up to 1 hour.

Location of the hotel is amazing which provides a perfect view of two different coves. Breakfast meets 4-star expectations. Facilities and housekeeping are generally in good condition. We didn’t have dinner at neither open buffet nor a la carte restaurant, but the food at open buffet didn’t really seem promising (it never does actually). Long story short, I can directly recommend Skiathos Palace.

Small black bathroom flies definitely need to be dealt with. They aren’t biting but still very disturbing. And pink lighting in corridors could be swapped to a less erotic one :) It gives the impression that you are in an adult-only hotel.

The location was very good and close to the beach although you needed transportation to get there however the hotel provided transfers every 15 minutes. We were very pleased with the food at buffet breakfast and dinner they had many choices and the food was tasty.

The hotel and rooms were very disappointing. Certainly not what we expected from a 4-5 star hotel!! There were no lifts in the hotel so suitcases had to be carried up three flights of stairs. We were in a triple room and there was very little space for suitcases etc. our friends who were in a double room and a standard room were in much larger rooms than us so it made no sense why they would squash 3 people into a smaller room. The booking for all the rooms were made at the same time. The air conditioning was not working properly so it was like sauna the first night we called for it to be fixed the maintenance man came the following morning he was very nice and repaired it the best he could. At times the water from our taps were coming out black so once again we called for maintenance to come to fix it. As for the staff we were very disappointed with the service they provided it went from poor to mediocre at best. Particularly the hospitality staff in the restaurant … there were six of us and a small child travelling together we were told that we could not put tables together at breakfast as it was strictly not allowed so we had to sit at different tables often far apart from each other as the tables were set up for up to 4 people. Then for dinner they had larger tables for six or seven people for the buffet. I asked if we could make a reservation for one of the larger tables and they said no we weren’t allowed to reserve them but if we came early enough we should be able to get a large table so we could sit together for dinner. We turned up for dinner we found two long tables and as we were about to sit at one they told us it was reserved and we had to move although they told us they didn’t take reservations. The staff were incredibly unhelpful. Clearly there was a lack of appropriate customer service training and standards for the frontline staff of the hotel.
