You should mention that there is no elevator in the hotel

The hotel was just beautiful. It exceeded our expectations.. everyone was super nice and very helpful. Everyone from the Bellmen , reception, and wait staff were very friendly and super nice. You guys made our stay super special, thank you .

The location was very good, beautiful view

Check in was terrible and we were initially put into the wrong room. Staff at that point were somewhat unhelpful. Although we booked a room with a jacuzzi, the jacuzzi was filthy, which they fixed. Then we realized it was broken and couldn’t be used. Management just shrugged their shoulders and said nothing could be done. Eventually they gave us about 15% discount, but that wasn’t the point - we would not have booked there at all if we knew the jacuzzi would not be working. Wee were not interested in their cheaper rooms. Breakfast is bland and drenched in oil. Hotel is very old and run down. Our room is not properly clean.

Had a massage and location was awful. Extremely noisy as there were showers situated next to the room . Also as this matter was addressed to reception the lady showed no empathy whatsoever. That was very disappointing as she really didn’t care what I had to say …

The location is the only reason this hotel must rate as a 4 star. The public areas have all been nicely renovated and modernized. The pool deck is stunning and the view is outstanding.

Not a 4 star hotel. The hotel was a total dissapointment. I booked based on the reviews and the rating and the experience did not meet expecations at all with the exception of the view. The hotel is extremely dated. (The lobby gives a false sense of updates). When we got into our room it was dirty- when I see hair that doesn't belong to me in various places it skeeves me out! The bathrooms also have mold on the ceiling and mildew on the caulking- likely due to the lack of air circulation. After two "cleanings" post check in before we settled and no difference to the cleanliness, we changed rooms. This room had an air conditioner that didn't work and unfortunately it also emitted a very unpleasant smell. We changed a third time and finally just settled in. The air worked better but still put off a smell and the bathroom still had some mold/mildew. In the morning breakfast was dissapointing and some mornings I couldn't find a clean bowl for my yogurt. The whole fruit that was part of the buffet was bruised and in some cases had mold. Honestly, I wish I could get my money back. Most of the other guests of the hotel appeared to be there through package vacations so I can't be sure but assume they paid much less for the hotel than we did. We also found it slightly frustrating that at the bar and Maratha beach (which is affiliated with the hotel) we were told we either had to pay cash or charge to the room. We paid way too much for what was supposed to be a an indulgent experience and it was highly dissapointing. The only positive is that most staff members we encountered were extremely friendly and polite. (Although we did have a difference in opinion on what clean meant!). I have no problem with dated (although at 4 stars it wouldn't be my expectation) but it should be clean with working air. Definitely not a 4 star rating.
