The Decor, rest room, lounge toilets.

Beds are bad for the price, it’s expensive everywhere, food, drink “your own beer” and its still expensive. The cost doesn’t match the service.

"Short winter break in January"

8.0

The location and view over the sea. Breakfast overlooking the Isle of Wight Needles. Breakfast was usually served in the dark panelled front room but luckily we were allowed to have breakfast in the back room overlooking the sea - so much better and you could see your breakfast :0) It was January and very cold but it felt cosy and staff were welcoming.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience on the first night - we stayed in the cottage suite (2 rooms and a bathroom) right next to the care home, with care assistants attending who use the buzzer alarm system. This is right next to the back bedroom of the flat. It turned out there was a fault on the entry system - not a good nights sleep - A high pitched noise sounded every 60 seconds during the night - but it was hard to tell where the noise was coming from. Having found out what it was the next morning - 'Caz' saved the day and phoned the care home to sort it out. The second night was a much better sleep. The window frame in the room needs fixing/replacing though as there was a wide gap when closed and probably didnt help with the noise the previoius night. Reported this and hopefully Caz will be on the case. Overall the stay was good and the staff saved the day. Maybe need a rug on the carpet to hide the stains - as the bedding and curtains were very nice and this would improve it further :0)

"Not to the normal standard"

5.0

We've stayed before and everything was great, this time the only good thing was the location

On arrival the receptionist was flustered and ignored us in favour of a supplier! We had expected to eat at the hotel but we were not informed of the closure of the restaurant until we arrived back at the hotel in the evening. We also found the radiator in the front bedroom was not working with no other alternative heating on a extremely cold night. So all in all a poor experience 😕
