The Beach House

the location is stunning . every member of staff . professional and friendly dog friendly excellent annex house for us . what a beautiful building so much character but with all the comforts of home

The room was lovely and comfortable with a great view of the Needles. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast could have been better quality. The continental spread was nice with some nice pastries but the hot breakfast was a little disappointing and could have benefited from some better cooked elements such as sausage, tomato and beans.

Windows in bedrooms and bathrooms don't open. No extractor fan or aircon to compensate for no natural air source through windows. Only dreadful, tastleless butter available for those of us who are not vegan/vegetarian. Poached eggs were completely tasteless. No salmon available for those who had selected poached eggs with salmon.

Staff faultless, Room had real Character, Hotel setting and location were all excellent.

Property was a bit tired in parts but, given it's age, we accept it may be difficult to mantain, food acceptable but not to the high standards we would expect at this level / cost of hotel.

Liked bedrooms and staff. Excellent selection of teas and coffee in the bedrooms.

Extremely poor telephone answering service - we gave up trying to get through in advance of our stay. This left us feeling as though the system is designed not to answer and have to deal with callers' enquiries. Far preferred the complimentary water being served in glass bottles not cans during our last visit. Most noticeable, was the decline in the quality and service of cooked breakfast, which has been a big plus in past years.
