Wadi Sabarah Lodge

Last week, we stayed at the beautiful Wadi Sabarah Lodge and feel compelled to share our wonderful experience. It’s a totally different stay compared to the large resorts. It would suit anyone interested in nature, marine biology, rest and relaxing. Such beautiful surroundings and we love our Deluxe Suite with fabulous balcony. But all accommodations seem to have this space as well, close to the sea. I have spotted ramps for wheel chair users and room 105 would be ground floor with huge bathrooms and large doors. So good to see as it can be challenging when you need accessibility, something I personally needed in the past. Please check for all the additional services, there are too many to mention. The stars of the show are the staff. As two women travelling we feel safe and respected here by everyone. Yesterday we were spoiled with a feast for a special big birthday. Mahmoud walked a mile to pick fresh flowers, Mina and Mohamed looked after us, carrying incredibly heavy skillets. The chef and sous chef made a delicious hand piped guava and strawberry cake we devoured and Nabil the F&B manager checked in with us this morning to make sure every wish was granted. What a fantastic team. Last but not least, we just came back from the best massage we’ve ever had from Mimi and her team. She is a true healer and has made my mums rotator cuff problem so much better that she’s slept a full night in a long time! Many, many thanks! Warm wishes to you all! Shukran Giddan

We loved it all

Schlichte Hotelarchitektur und stilvolle Einrichtung; Ruhe keine laute Musik ; sehr feines ägyptisches essen; sehr zuvorkommendes und äusserst freundliches Hotelpersonal (Chef de Service und Rezeption); perfekter Ort um anzuspannen; Eco-Label wird spürbar umgesetzt

Leider war das Meer im April stürmisch, weshalb schnorcheln zu gefährlich war.

Des desserts trop frugaux, généralement que des fruits et peu variés.

We had a very pleasant stay at Wadi Sabarah Lodge. Especially the hotel staff, from receptionists to waiters in the restaurant and cleaning personnel were very friendly and professional. Furthermore it was really comfortable to not have animation in this hotel. The rooms were in good condition and the house reef was beautiful. We can't recommend this hotel enough!

Totally recommend this hotel for divers and those, who love relaxing summer vacation. Full board is recommended, as there is no other possibility to eat nearby. The food was excellent and the terrace is very beautiful. The hotel stuff was very helpful. We will definitely visit again!

Struttura di recente costruzione, in pietra perfettamente integrata bel paesaggio circostante senza brutture. Camere ampie dotate di mini bar, pale a soffitto e AC, bel terrazzo e bagno con grande doccia. Silenzio e tranquillità. Nessuna animazione. Ottimo diving center sulla spiaggia con personale gentile e preparato. Ampia scelta di escursioni proposte dall’hotel nelle vicinanze

Pochi ombrelloni sulla spiaggia , datati e difficili da aprire. Nessuna assistenza in spiaggia e nessuna possibilità di avere servizio bar nemmeno in piscina.

La struttura è un’oasi di calma e pace, dalle linee minimal e perfettamente integrata con il paesaggio circostante. Si respira una atmosfera di ‘quiet luxury’. Vive integrata con il Diving Center Emperor Divers e con il Centro di Ricerca e Tutela della barriera corallina, che organizzano in modo estremamente professionale immersioni (grazie Simone!) ed uscite di snorkelling guidate. Inoltre, è possibile assistere ogni sera alle 18,30 ad una presentazione sul mondo marino/sulla cultura egiziana all’interno dell’interessante biblioteca, che raccoglie la collezione privata del proprietario. Interessantissimo anche il museo privato presente al piano terra, così come i giardini botanici. Il cibo è delizioso e locale, servito a buffet a colazione e al tavolo ai pasti (a pranzo vegetariano, alla sera alternato pesce/carne). Il pane é cotto sul forno a legna in terrazzo ogni sera. Le camere sono spaziose, silenziose ed i letti comodi. Lo staff gentile e premuroso, mai invadente. Non ne abbiamo usufruito ma è possibile prenotare sia lezioni di yoga, sia massaggi.

La presenza della barriera limita l’accesso al mare, in caso di forte vento; abbiamo dovuto ripiegare sulla piscina. Sarebbe stato carino avere indicato il menu del giorno anche solo su una lavagna. Tutti gli extra (dalle bevande ai taxi) hanno prezzi un po’ elevati, anche rispetto agli standard italiani.
