Grand Samota Hotel

The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the location is convenient — but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.

My stay was uncomfortable. Cigarette smoke from the neighboring room came through the connecting door or front door and filled my room throughout the night and made me sick. The rooms are not soundproof at all, I could clearly hear my neighbor watching football on his phone and noise from outside. Unfortunately, I didn’t get much sleep. Also internet was often very slow.

Staff refused to take order when I ordered food. It’s only after I told him twice to do it, he then did it.

The manager and girl behind reception went over and above to help me get to sape to catch my ferry. They were brilliant.

The hotel is good the rooms are a good size. The bed was excellent. Staff very good and helpful.

The biggest problem is the power supply in the room will not charge a mobile phone at more than a trickle. A/c was a bit weak for this type of hotel, but it did the job after 25 minutes. The breakfast was very lacklustre.

Its an open space for smokers and to go to my Non smoking room, unfortunately, I have to pass by the smokers which is not good for me.

Good, clean, booked in a 2am in the morning as I need stop from driving. No issues clean bed good showers nice staff
