Boat Country Inn and Restaurant

Sehr freundliches Personal, das sich super gekümmert hat. Wir haben 3 mal zu Abend gegessen und es war jedes Mal hervorragend. Sehr ruhig gelegen. Wir hatten ein Gartenzimmer mit viel Licht. Auch unser Hund wurde sehr freundlich aufgenommen.

A nice old pub/ hotel - the staff were very friendly , the room we had (the deluxe double) was nice and spacious as well as a nice big shower. The food was good & had some outside seating looking over the steam railway station. you could walk down 5 mins to overlook the river over a bridge which was very pretty & only a 5 mins walk to a nice long trail at the RSPB site

The room was very hot (may) even with the window open , the restaurant food was quite expensive

We stayed at the Boat Country Inn, on approaching the building we noticed the entrance was quite dirty and the main door had not been painted it years they were in a very poor states of decorating. As we were booking in there was an A4 size. notice stating there was no central heating working and no hot water only warm they put this down to planned maintenance (had we been in formed of this before our arrival we would have cancelled) this also meant the hot towel rails were not working, they went on to tell us we could not have a room key as. there machine that issues them had broken and would have to find a member of staff if we wanted to get into our room. On inspecting the room the mattress was quite old, there was a crack and a small hole in the sink and the area around the shower tray was very dirty. We had booked a meal on going to our table when we sat down the table was unsteady when I told the. person behind the bar he offered us a wedge of plastic and expected us to gat on the floor and put it under the offending leg of the table. The meal we ordered turned up it was hot food served on very cold plates which quickly affected the hot food, when we ask what we would like to drink the first two beers I ask for had actually run out of, what decently run bar does that. The following morning at breakfast the same again hot breakfast served on cold plates, when I ask for brown sauce I was directed to where they were it consisted of four almost empty bottles all the necks of the bottles had congealed sauce stuck to them. In my opinion parts this hotel needs serious finance being spent on it, but there are some very very nice parts of it. I have photos of all that I have stated

Great Inn in the Cairngorm National Park! The location was perfect for us, the staff extremely friendly and helpful, and the food was awesome!

Nice room but it was close to the kitchen area and I could hear the ventilation fan although it was switched off overnight. Comfy bed and great pillows! Very clean and spacious bathroom.

The location of my room near the noisy fan disturbed me a little. Other that that I liked the property.

Perfect location, railway delightful, views superb. Staff were excellent. Food at dinner was very good.

It needed a lick of paint in places, in line with many Scottish hotels fighting to make money and attract customers in an Airbnb world.

Loved the toiletries in the room, mattress wonderful but too heavy of a duvet for me. Humongous TV!

Bedding choice was just too heavy for late spring.
