Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, the facilities were good and rooms comfortable and clean

Was surprised by the amount of cobwebs in the communal areas, considering the price and target market of the hotel the attention to detail felt lacking, with large cobwebs in the lobby being lit up by downlighters, and more cobwebs in the windows in the breakfast area - this was the only letdown for the property.

It’s looking a bit tired in the rooms One evening had to wait for dinner, people walked out as 2hours was a long wait.

From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were made to feel truly special — even being welcomed with a lovely glass of fizz to start our stay. We made full use of the beautiful room, pool and steam room, and enjoyed a fantastic meal on our final evening. The food was amazing, but the staff were even better. This was a lovely hotel, a good 4*. The staff were delightful, really helpful. The indoor pool was lovely for an early morning swim (not that early, opened at 8am), and I did sit in the outdoor pool area for a short while in the sun, it would be super in full summer. Our room was a double suite, spacious enough but not enormous. Alas no views (concrete multi storey car park, and hotel terrace (noisy with thumping music one evening)) with fridge and good sized bathroom, two basins, a separate corner shower and lovely bath - although, despite letting reception know, the bath plug wasn't a good fit and water trickled slowly out while bathing and it wasn't fixed during our stay. The basins are quite low set in the counter top - we are average height, a taller person would have struggled. Breakfast was excellent. We didn't upgrade to the full Jersey (it looked delicious on other diners' plates), the selection of fresh and stewed fruits, yoghurts, cereals, meats and cheeses, pastries etc was inviting and plentiful. Liberation Square was only an 8 minute walk and the area has many bars, restaurants and cafes
