Staff and food very good no complaints

Room 14 Large sash window which wouldn't shut at the top. Couldn't reach it from ground and even standing on chair couldn't shut it. Normally not an issue, heating was available so could warm room but outside was an extractor/refrigeration fan/unit which ran on and off all nigh making going to sleep really difficult. No tv signal on tv so couldn't watch anything on what was a disproportionally small tv for size of room/distance from bed. End room on corridor so wifi was also poor/no reception.

Beautiful property, nice bedding and good tea and coffee facilities, also easy to park and the bar and restaurant had good menu choice

I didn’t find the mattress very comfortable. The windows in my room were dirty and in the bathroom the silver fittings needed a good clean and limescale removed. I also found when checking in and out of the property , reception staff were generally miserable . I wouldn’t stay there again unfortunately which is a shame as it is a beautiful hotel.

Good old fashioned coaching house which was comfortable and a good location
