Tranquil Lodge hot tub and free golf

Lovely stay. Hot tub was ready for us to enjoy as soon as we got there. Bed was very comfy. Everything was clean and tidy. Lovely biscuits and wine basket waiting for us (thank you). Kitchen well equipped. The lodge itself was lovely.

The lodge could do with a wee bit TLC in places but it really didnt affect our stay at all. Facilities on park were not ideal (muddy walk and shut during "opening hours") but i don't feel it is fair for that to be a reflection on the hosts.

Very clean and tidy, nicely decorated inside and very comfortable beds

Not much not to like, the outdoor decking area was a little basic perhaps but that’s all, still very tidy. Should maybe have some small pedal bins in the bathrooms also.

Nice modern lodge in a nice, quiet yet friendly site.

I've stayed in pet friendly lodges loads of times & couldn't detect pet smell, however I could smell dog in the back bedroom and on the sofa closest the kitchen, it made me sneeze throughout my stay. Lots of flys around when trying to use the hot tub.

Very little to do other than playing golf or walking. My family don’t play golf. The pub was quite a distance away. The shop was tiny and had only very basic items.Didn’t dare walk through the wood with my dog due to the “widow maker” trees which had been damaged and blown down during a storm. Many trees landing on other tree branches which could fall at anytime. This needs to be addressed immediately. It is a major health and safety issue, Three police cars turning up to arrest a noisy neighbours three cabins down from us. Also a golf buggy was abandoned on the old driving range by an idiot found circles all over the grassy area.

the location is peaceful and pretty, the lodge it’s self needs a lot of TLC but had great potential.

on arrival we were greeted my a damp / dirty smell, the garden furniture was odd, worn and covered in mould, the cushions where dripping wet and unusable for the duration of our stay, which wasn’t ideal considering the weather was beautiful. I found a pair of dirty knickers behind the bedroom door. on a night we tried to put the heating on which was connected to a hub the owner operates from an app. So we were unable to use the heating and it did get quite cold. the lights around the hot tub were broken, the old hot tub lid and hose pipe were dumped behind the lodge. The whole place needs a deep clean and refresh.

The lodge was beautiful and very homely. Very good hosts. Would love to go and stay again.

Lots of work around the lodge going on, it wasn't private as we felt we had to keep the blinds and curtains closed. Lots of noise, if we had known, we probably wouldn't have stayed or picked some other time to go.

Perfect quiet location with play park for the kids, loads of dvds, smart TV with all apps installed, fast WiFi, very clean and hot tub was amazing! High spec tub withigjys and jets ❤️👍

Nothing major, tv in main bedroom didn't work.
