Amazing view. The room was big.

We were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful view from our unit to the Nicoya Peninsula. In the evening we enjoyed sunsets from our veranda. Our room was large, private and had beautiful wooden beams and wooden accents everywhere. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and dinners at the restaurant. It took 10 minutes to drive to the nearest town, Santa Elena, and 30 minutes to the Monteverde Cloud Forest. We have fond memories of our stay and would love to return someday.

This small boutique property has remarkable, kind and helpful staff, gorgeous individual cabins with beautiful views of the cloud forest. The property has a lovely restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner though not included in the room price. The room has many thoughtful details including live plants, well positioned plugs, coffee and tea in the room and ample place for bags and clothing.

While breakfast was very good, fresh and well priced, selections could be expanded when staying three or more nights.

This is a beautiful gem of a hotel. With beautiful views out over the valley, a fabulous and spacious room and unparalleled staff in terms of their willingness to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They really went out of their way to greet us with smiles and a concern for how our birding was going. The owner was on hand to personally greet each guest and seemed genuinely to care about his property and his guests. The on site restaurant was so good, we chose to eat no where else for our 5 day stay. We were there for birding, and the owner arranged a marvellous guide for the 2 days we required. It is a beautiful birding location, and we will be staying there again upon our return to Monteverde.
