Tavan Dragon House

The best homestay in Sa Pa and it's region, the family is so nice and the house is lovely, they will help you with anything you need and always with a smile. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms clean and modern. The family dinner is some of the best food I had in Vietnam, I stayed there for a month and will return anytime.

Very friendly family. In our experience one of the best things about travelling in Vietnam is that you can get such a variety of experiences, each town has a different appeal/ interest. Our hosts were very friendly and open. They treated us like family and our kids played with their children the whole time. This stay was a highlight because we really got to spend time with a Vietnamese family.

Tavan is a small village outside of Sapa. It is about half an hour taxi drive. I thought we could pop back into Sapa for dinner. That is definitely possible, but not ideal. We stayed for dinner with our hosts and really enjoyed the cooking! Being in a small village does isolate you, but in another was is a positive because most people travel to this region for these small village experiences and you won't get that sleeping in Sapa unless you go on a tour into these areas.

The property was quiet,clean,comfortable. The family was welcoming and friendly. The room was large with a big balcony with a beautiful view. The bathrooms were clean and modern. The beds were comfortable.

Very kind and hospitable hosts and staff. The property is located a little higher up in Ta Van and about a ten minute walk or so to the main area of the village where the restaurants and shops are. A cosy stay that I can personally recommend.

Amazing hosts, great family and super cute kids. The rooms are spacious and clean with a great rice field view. The heating blankets are a game changer! They keep you so warm even when it’s freezing! We also highly recommend the family dinner, we had a great time! The hosts also helped us book taxis and rent scooters for reasonable prices.

We had a lovely time at Tavan Dragon House. The hosts welcomed us warmly with their 2 kids, and we've been able to share a dinner with them. The house is beautiful and well situated with easy and nice treks around.

Friendly family, nice wooden building and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and had heating although we didn’t use this. The shared bathroom was clean, had a great hot shower and toiletries available. Free breakfast was tasty banana pancakes although we had to pay for a coffee. Small bottled water was expensive. A very nice place and family with great views from the bed.

The road outside was busy and noisy from early in the morning.
