Onguma Forest Camp

Beautiful lodge nestled just outside Etosha Park. Place was tranquil with wild animals walking past our glass doors like Kudus.. Badgers, Meerkat, Squirrels.. A quiet tranquil place with water hole which you can sit back and relax and watch wild animals taking their drink. Like to mention that Onguma staffs like Leonard and Thomas go beyond their duty and was very helpful to come forward and help me change a punctured tyre which I greatly appreciated and thankful. Service staffs like Moses and Kolumbo always ready to help our dining needs. Manager Albertina and Egga always cheerful to ensure we had a good stay. The chef whipped out a nasty awesome beef fillet which was out of this world. The meals are fantastic.

Wifi was horrible and was not available in the rooms. Quite disappointed for such a classy resort lodge. Wifi really need to improve for the rooms so that guests can use it easily and available.

Very friendly staff, everything was clean and tidy, we had a comfortable room and enjoyed our stay very much!

Compared to other really nice lodges it was too expensive

Well designed rooms, good food and service. Very friendly staff. Good location. Would return and stay longer.

The reserve was not so good for animals, however Etosha is nearby which is great

The setting was lovely. It was really nice having dinner under the stars. The badger who came to visit during supper time was a treat.

The Wifi.

Their attention to detail is amazing. You arrive at reception to a warm welcome, a refreshing cool flannel and fruit juice then have a personal tour of the property. The camp is beautifully quiet and set amongst dry forest with plenty of wildlife passing through to the floodlit waterhole. Food is excellent. Staff treat you like valued guests. Game drives are good. If you like observing wildlife a morning spent in the hide is very good value.

A great small-scale lodge with only about 12 cabins and thus some intimacy. Nice well-spaced and spacious cabins. Spacious restaurant and a terrace by a waterhole to view wildlife if it shows. The property is unfenced which gives an extra little thrill but they monitor the wildlife and escort you to your cabin if required or desired.

Dinner was average. "safe" international restaurant style options. First night we had the choice of some simple pan-fried fish (hake) and lamb-rack. I really don't need game every day but you'd expect something somehow connected with where you are.
