Onguma Forest Camp

A classy lodge in a remote setting. The chalets were luxurious and very private and we loved the outdoor dining area under the stars beside a waterhole. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was excellent. The bed was the most comfortable bed we've slept in during our travels around the country

We got terribly lost trying to find this lodge!

Difficulties with thé booking they asked to pay beforehand while not mentionned like that on booking.com. In the end i could pay on arrival. Once we arrived, the sunset drive was full. It was mentionned nowhere we had to book this before arrival. With a lot of insistance, we got in the end a place for thé sunset drive. Food is really not incredible… staff is friendly and do what they can with the possibilities they get.

Modern, well equiped appartments/chalets. The dinner is delicious just the portions are true gourmet, so very little.

The place feels snobbish. Price is made so high that you can feel that the personell is forced to "work off " it, they ask you on every step how do you like the place and of course you are supposed to answer "oh yes, it's fabulous". However, it is not sincere on both sides. It was our first place to stay, and at other places we felt better.

Amazing setting in the game reserve next to Etosha. We saw lions at the waterhole. Loved the sundowner game drive. Lovely comfy beds and lodge. Staff were lovely and so helpful.

Nothing, we wished we stayed longer!

Our stay at Onguma Forest Camp was one of the highlights of our trip to Namibia! The watering hike was perfect for hanging out with a drink while spotting local wildlife — we saw giraffes, zebras, elephants and more right at the watering hole. The food was phenomenal and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. We did the sundowner drive on the property and loved it! Our guide was super knowledgeable and we were able to see 5 lions! Would definitely book again.
