Location. You do have a straits view.

They do not react to any communication. I have sent several messages to never replied. When you arrive it turns out that they just add 16% on top of the price in so cold Texas which is not mentioned on Booking.com. We ask for a non-smoking room they said we only have non-smoking rooms, but the first room we entered Smelled like someone had been smoking in there for 15 years, it’s in the carpets and then the curtains. We requested a second room and the third room and the fourth room but they all smell like smoke quite heavily. So if you don’t like that, I wouldn’t stay here. We were only there for one night, but I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Great location and all you need for Mulu. Note you do need transfers to the NP which are extra but they’re not too expensive.

Our booking was for a balcony room which we didn’t get, but we did seem to get the best room with a double that was available.

The location is perfect for the national parks. The rooms are simple but good. You have an AC and fan. Toilet and shower are okay. There is even a pool. The best thing about this stay was the host Anil. He organises everything perfectly. We visited the 4 Caves, did a night walk and the Canopy walk and Anil had every thing coverd. Pick up, transportation from the lodge to the park, breakfast, lunch, dinner, guides etc. Even trips from and to the airport. The Groups for the tours where kept small which was perfect. The lodge had their own guides which are great. Really recommend staying here and Booking the trips here aswell!

We had 2 mornings with cold showers, when we told the staff they fixed it very Quick. We also had some short power losses.

Very high standard of service. Would highly recommend staying at Benarat Lodge. Accommodation, meals, airport pickup drop off and Mulu park tours all organised for you when you book in! Can very highly recommend.

The Queen bed I slept on comfortable and cosy for my back.

Anil did his level best to run the Lodge with minimum staff.My opinion Anil is manager and helping with the kitchen is not his job.He needs a deputy manager to stay sane.
