I highly appreciate that they were able to accommodate me in a full size room on the first night. Second night was in the smaller room for 1 person that had a detached shared bathroom, but did not expect it was only a toilet with no shower facilities.

Just be aware that smaller unit only has detached shared toilet and no shower.

Ivan, Mama Lea and Papa Mario were excellent hosts and truly cared for providing a good experience for us. My daughter enjoyed playing with the 2 cats on the floating island. Ivan knows some basic English and it helped a lot in communicating. It was cold at night and the hot water bottles were surprisingly warm enough the whole night and we had a good sleep. Breakfast was good and Mama Lea was kind enough to offer vegetarian options. Papa Mario’s private Uros tour provided us good insight about life on Uros island and importance of Totora reed. I wish my Spanish was better to understand everything that Mario said.

Une expérience inoubliable sur l'île de los Uros,une vue extraordinaire au calme.la disponibilité de nos hôtes qui sont venus nous attendre(alors que le bus avait du retard) et nous ont raccompagné tôt le matin sur la terre ferme.des bouillottes nous ont été fournies pour la nuit froide.

Creo que este alojamiento es uno de los más bonito en los que me he hospedado, es un lugar muy mágico y mamá leya con papá Mario lo hacen aún más especial, comi y tome los tour todo desde el mismo alojamiento de verdad que me sentí en casa. Los recomiendo 100% si quieres reconectar contigo mismo y vivir lo que es la cultura de los Uros, gracias por todo, nunca los voy a olvidar ❤️‍🩹

El trato, inmejorable. El lugar idílico, con unas vistas del lado impresionante desde la ventanales de la habitación. Muy recomendable

Por decir algo, está un poco apartado de la ciudad, y hay que coger la barca de lod propietarios cada vez que se quiera salir. V aunque la verdad, si se va a este alojamiento es para hacer los tour y permanecer en la isla, que le cierto es de Totora

Die Familie hat uns sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen. Wir wurden mit dem Boot abgeholt und dann wurde uns eine persönlich Tour durch die Uro Inseln und die Art wie die Menschen dort leben eindrucksvoll gezeigt. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Lodges waren sehr geräumig. Nachts wird es sehr kalt aber die vielen Decken haben es einen sehr gemütlich und warm gemacht. Die Mutter hat sehr schöne Wandteppiche verkauft und auch ein wenig Kunsthandwerk. Auch eine Tour am nächsten Tag zur Insel Taquile wurde für uns organisiert. Alles in allem war es sehr familiär und ein absolutes Erlebnis.

La cercanía de los anfitriones, se han preocupado por todo, que no nos faltara de nada. El sitio es maravilloso, la excursión con papa Mario es única si quieres conocer la verdadera vida en los Uros.

You should know that you have to pay 80 sols for pick up and drop off back to the dock and that you will be reliant on them for tours and pretty much all meals. So it is worth asking how much that will cost. Also felt like I was being upsold the entire time I was there.
